-Graph each linear equation.

1.) y = 2x + 1

2.) y = 5 - 2x

3.) y = -x - 2

4.) y = 1/3x - 5

how do i graph theses and can someone show me how to do theses step by step -.-''

5.)Find the slope of the line containing the points (-2,4) & (8,-3)

6.)Use the slope and y-intercept to graph the equation 1/2x + y = 4

7.)Write down the equation in slope-intercept form for the line with the indicated slope, m , and y-intercept, b.
m = 2 , b = 0.75

8.)Write down the equation in slope-intercept form for the line with the indicated slope, m , and y-intercept, b.
m = -5 , b = 0

9.)Find the slope of the line containing the indicating points.
(0,0) and (3,30)

10.)Find the slope of the line containing the indicating points.
(1,-3) and (3,-5)

please tell me how to do theses things and show your work if you can, because i really need to know how to do theses things to past high school im in 10 th grade -.-''

thanks in advance!!

1. If x=0 y=1 that is your 1st point, if y=0, x=-1/2 that is your 2nd point. Now draw a line containing tose 2 points.
2. x=0, y=5 and y=0, x=2.5
3. x=0, y=-2 and y=0, x=-2
4. x=0, y=-5 and y=0, x=15

I wonder what kind of math teacher do you have? Here's to get you started.

To graph an equation, find where it crosses the axes. Horizontal line is the x-axis, vertical is the y-axis and where they intersect is the point (0,0). Anywhere on the graph is represented by (x,y).

Solving problem 1)

Set x = 0, then y = 1. Point (0,1)
Set y = 0, then 0 = 2x + 1
-1 = 2x
x = -1/2
Point (-1/2, 0)
Graph these points and draw a line through them. To graph (0,1) from the intersection point (0,0), move up the vertical axis by one unit. To graph (-1/2,0), from center move left on the horizontal axis one half unit.

That's funny, isn't this stuff you learned in Algebra 1? Maybe you should borrow a textbook and refresh your mind, assuming it was "fresh" the first time around.

You're basically having us do all your homework. You should go to http://www.purplemath.com/modules/graphlin.htm for numbers 1-4 and search that site on how to do the rest.
