Is anyone familiar with a species of stinging caterpillar that has black spikes in bands and has striped colors on its body including red, orange, and yellow? I am only familiar with the all black variety and found this brightly colored one today in my flowers. I am unable to find any example looking like this particular caterpillar online. Does anyone know anything about it?

(Yes there is such a thing as stinging caterpillars only they don't 'sting' like a bee. They have hollow spikes sticking from their bodies which inject poison into anybody who might be trying to hurt them. Nasty little critters...)

Thanks for any help you can offer! I am unsure where to categorize this so here goes nothing...

Hi, i'm having a bit of trouble with a question here. I have a diagram of a beam of light entering a medium with a high refractive index from a lower refractive index medium. The beam however doesn't leave the second medium because of total internal reflection, so it's angle to the normal when it enters the second medium is it's critical angle. The critical angle i have is 41.1 deg, and the refractive index of the second medium is 1.52, and the refractive index of the first medium is 1.33. can anyone give me any hints on how to find the angle to the normal that the beam of light enters the second medium is ?
Thanks.

I believe that it is completely possible to travel faster than the speed of light.. in theory.
But the question I pose is what happens when the vessel breaks the "light barrier"? Would it be something in comparison to a fighter jet making a sonic boom when it breaks the sound barrier?

Ok Listen up...

A Graph shows distance on the vertical axis and time on the horizontal axis. If The Speed is steadily increasing, what will the line representing speed look like on the graph??

ok so odviously the answer is A Curved Line.

So with reguard to the question above , could any part of the speed line ever become perfectly vertical? Why or why not?

a) Yes, but only if the object stops moving.
b)yes, because eventually the speed would be so fast there would be no slope.
c)No, because it would require such a high speed that it would probably not be practical.
d)No,because that would mean you were covering a distance in zero elapsed time, which is impossible.

I had a butterfly get stuck in my windshield wiper, and when I pulled over to let get it out, I was devastated to see that it's lower body was crushed and one of it's lower wings was torn. It crawled on my hand and acted as if nothing was wrong, so although my initial thought was to just kill it and put it out of it's misery, I ended up putting it on a flower in the shade. It couldn't fly anymore with the shape it was in, but I figured it could enjoy it's last moments on Earth on a flower, which I know butterflies love. My question is, how could it still be alive with it's body crushed, and do insects/butterflies feel pain like we do? Do they have nerves? Can some "bug people"answer this please, as I'm not some "crazy lady" and would like serious answers! Thanks!

Before i go on, if you don't know what this is please don't answer. OK. If it is said that 12 men were chosen(not exchanged) to go with extraterrestials why is it that the remaining 2 that stayed in their foreign planet weren't heard of. by that i mean. that the 2 men had to have family. i mean they're weren't created. but were chosen. IF theres any evidence regarding the dissapearance of these men who never returned.? And if any scientist could answer these questin please. it is said that the few man who returned home suffered from radiation and died. is there evidence that states if you are indeed exposed to a binary sun solar system. by that i mean. that it is said that the planet is zeta riticuli had 2 suns. if there are 2 suns will that lead to a greater radiation level. and if it is in the zeta riticuli solar system. are there 2 suns there? thanks.
