Convert each mixed number to an improper fraction:
7 4/5 = (7 * 5 + 4) / 5 = 39 / 5
Multiply the numerators 39 * 2 to get 78.
Multiply the denominators 5 * 3 to get 15.
The result is 78 / 15.
Now reduce this to its lowest terms.
78 and 15 both divide by 3, and so the result can be reduced to 26 / 5.
Now convert that back to a mixed number:
26 / 5 = 5 1/5.

turn into improper fraction by:
1. multiply the denominator by the whole number (7*5)
2. then that product add to numerator (35+4)
3. Put the sum of that over the original denominator (5)
leaving you with: 39/5
from that you multiply 39/5* 2/3
you could go ahead and normally multiply this or reduce it
39 and 3 can be reduced (3*13=39)
so you go ahead and change the 3 in the denomiator of 2/3 to 1 (now 2/1) and the numerator of 39/5 to 13 (now 13/5)which leaves you with:
13/5*2/1 ( a much simpler fraction to work with)
go ahead and multiply.
answer is 26/5
to change to a proper fraction just multiply 26 by 5
leaving you with 5 remainder 1.
from there we just get the whole (5) and but the remainder as the numerator of the fraction next to it (1) and always keeping its original denominator. leaving you with 5 1/5

It's easiest to convert it to an improper fraction first.
7 4/5 * 2/3 =
(7*5 + 4)/5 * 2/3 =
39/5 * 2/3 =
(39*2)/(5*3) =
78/15 =
Then you can simplify it and convert it back to a mixed number:
78/15 =
26/5 =
5 1/5

Multiply the whole number by the denominator (that's the bottom number in the fraction) then add the numerator
Do this with both mixed numers.
Then multiply the two numerators, then the two denominators.
Then reduce.
7 x 5 = 35
35 + 4 = 39
39 x 2 =78
3x5= 15
78/15

The easiest way to go is to
*convert your mixed numbers into improper fractions.
*cancel common factors top to bottom
*multiply left to right
7 4/5 x 2/3 = 39/5 x 2/3
= 13/5 x 2/1
= 26/5
