well my junior year of highschool is approaching and i realized i haven't really considered what i wanted to do.. so i thought about it and i narrowed it down to either being a psychiatrist or pharmacist.. personally i think psychiatry would be more interesting because chemistry and other stuff kinda bore me and psychiatrists get paid more but i thought about it and would being a pharmacist be a more solid and safe job? because if you're a psychiatrist what if you don't get that many patients? and althought psychatrists get paid more by the hour wouldn't it depend on how many patients you have? so basically i like psychiatry but would being a pharmacist be better? please lemme know your thoughts =]

I know it was the Maunder minimum that caused the little ice-age, but if the sun goes mad then calm in 11 year cycles, (i'm not sure how to ask this question), why did that maunder minimum cause a little ice-age but no other have. What was different about that particular one?

A platform of mass 0.8 kg is supported on four springs (only two springs are shown in the picture, but there are four altogether). A chunk of modeling clay of mass 0.6 kg is held above the table and dropped so that it hits the table with a speed of v = 0.9 m/s.

The clay sticks to the table so that the the table and clay oscillate up and down together. Finally, the table comes to rest 6 cm below its original position.

a) What is the effective spring constant of all four springs taken together?

b) With what amplitude does the platform oscillate immediately after the clay hits the platform?

The half life of radioactive postassium is 1.3 billion years. If 10 grams are present now, how much will be present in 100 years?? 1000 years??

I said, amount now = amount intial / 2 ^ t/half life

so

10 / 2 ^ 100 / 1300000000 and got 9.99

then

10 / 2 ^ 1000 / 1300000000 and got 9.99

is this right???

please tell me where I went rightTHANKS

I'm going on a diet, & to closely monitor my calorie intake, I'm reading the nutrition facts pannel of everything I eat. Problem is, in Poland (I'm on vacation), they don't have a very descriptive nutrition pannel. It shows how much sugar & fat there is in the food, but not how much calories. I'm good at math & if I can somehow convert fat to calories I can lose alot of weight. Help?

I bought a video game for $50.00.
I didn't like it, so I took it to Gamestop for $20.00.
So then I used the $20.00 I got from that game to purchase another game that was selling for $40.00.
At the end I had to pay $20.00 dollars out of my own pocket to pay for the game since I used the $20.00 I got from the other game.

Thanks

what maximum speed could such spaceship achieve, assuming D+D->He4 reaction and 100% efficient rocket motor?

Note:
usually D+D fusion produces either or He3+n or T+p, but lets not worry about this. Consider that engineers solved all problems and D is on input, and He4 on output.
