because it is true

here's the thing: most don't want you to know that the Earth' polarity reverse' every 4000 years so that there seems to be intense heat throughout the planet and there is!!!! In fact historical records indicate that the last time this happened there was in fact more land mass, and now it will happen again. The most important thing about current events in the global warming arena is we have hurt our own self' with pollution and toxin's that are destroying our enviorment and our ozone. This will be the catalyst for our oceans to warm; more "fresh water to go into our oceans from polar ice caps melting, and the north Atlantic current to change. this means that the Earth will heat up about 15 to 25 degrees and that will be the end of life as we know it. So to answer your question, global warming is the only thing that we can correct and preserve life and that is why everyone is talking about it...... IF ONLY WE ALL WOULD TAKE A LITTLE ACTION!!!!

Say 95% of scientists agree, which is a close approximation, that global warming is occurring due to the buildup of greenhouse gases created by humans. The only thing that they disagree about is the rate and the policy that must be crafted to counteract it while maintaining sound economic policy.

Do you really think that the 5% who say global warming doesn't exist should get 50% of the airtime? Meanwhile, the scientists and policymakers who need to argue about every single societal impact of global warming, from impact on food production, changing land use, health effects, etc, should have to fight over the other 50% while still leaving time to have to argue against the anti-global warming activists?

It does not make sense to work like this.

You repeatedly hear that the average global temperature is increasing because that is a fact, it's well documented. As is the depletion of the ozone layer.

What people disagree about is whether or not humans are causing this, or if it is a natural cycle of heating and cooling that the Earth goes through over long periods. And people on both sides of this debate are very outspoken, I don't see how you could avoid hearing both sides, actually.

The only side to hear about is the effects that it is having on Earth. Research provides evidence of global warming, it just does not prove the cause! However, if we want future generations to survive, we may as well take precautions and limit our use of materials that may or may not be adding to the rate of global warming. There is a lot of unnecessary factors that may be contributing to global warming, but it is easier to live the lifestyles we have prefer, rather than take responsibility and admit we may be contributing factors.

I don't know about that. In the media they often have both sides. As far as movies, like Al Gores, that is meant to be one sided. If I was to guess at your question, it is because people are trying to change policy. Officially, Global warming is only a theory and very little policy change has happened that, if you believe it happens, would attempt to halt/change it. Therefore, those who believe it happens are trying to change things. I must say, I am surprise you think there is only one side though. I feel like opponents to global warming are also well represented, as well as supporters.

Global warming is a political football. Some want to use it as a fear tactic to bring change to the political arena. Is global warming just a natural climatic rhythm ? Or is caused by man, or both. The evidence just isn't clear.

Well
Most people will agree that global warming does currently exist. But what is disputed is wether it is just a natural phenomenom or truly caused by the human race.

To answer your question I go with the majority - liberal bias in the media

Because the truth has only one side. Global average temperature increase is not an opinion. It is scientific fact. Millions of measurements from oceanic thermometers across the world do not lie.

Additionally, the vast majority of scientists believe that humans are at least mostly responsible for the sudden (over the past 100 years or so) temperature increase. This is still debated. The fact that the temperature has increased is not debated.

If you want a balanced discussion, you might consider getting yourself a college geology text. While science never completely attains the objectivity it claims to espouse,
I generally find that scientists make an effort to examine data critically and use it to draw reasoned conclusions.
