Hi,

If she was paid for work from 10:45 - 9:00, that is 11.25 hours. At $7.50/hr, that's 11.25 x 7.50 = $84.38 at regular pay.

If she was paid overtime past 8 hours, she earned an additional 3.25 x 7.50 x 1.5 = $36.56. that makes a total of $120.94.

I know nothing about taxes in New York, so that part is up to you!!

I hope that helps!! :-)

Well..........

10:45 - 9:00 is 10.25 hrs

10.25 x 7.50 = $76.88

You can figure that Federal Withholdings will be roughly 10 percent of your gross.....

76.88 x .10 = 7.69

.... unless that is ALL you earned in that week.....

then you can assume that no FW would be deducted

Then Soc. Sec is 6.2% and medicare is 1.45%

Take these 2 and multiply them to the gross wages.

Take all three of those... FWH, Soc. Sec. and Medicare and subtract them from the gross wages. This will give you the net wages that you are looking for.

Hope this helps.

Looks like 10.25 hours.

Multiply 10.25 by 7.5... that'll give you the gross."Sally" probably doesn't work 7 days a week. But multiply that by how many days she works a year.

Check your Federal and State tax tables. You can get them by doing a Google search

Not enough information... Did she get paid for a lunch break, or did she have to take her lunch unpaid? How long was her lunch break? How much tax is taken out in NY? And is there local tax, as well as state and federal tax?

10:45 to 9 =10.25 hours x $7.50 per hour =76.87
Deduct 7.65% for FICA & MED = -5.88 = 70.99 net.

If FIT or state taxes are deducted you have to know how marital status, and dependents.
