OK... so lets say i'm playing poker against my friend. We are both dealt two cards which only we can see. Then 3 cards are dealt which we can both see. If two of the community cards are kings, does it make it less likely that my friend has a king?

A test rocket follows a parabolic path. Its path is followed by two tracking stations. A & B. On a grid system, the launch pad is at (0,0). The tracking stations are on the horizontal axis. Station A is 4.5 KM from the launch site and station B is 7 km from the launch site.

The tracking stations record two measurements: the first, station A records an angle of 78.2 degrees and station B records an angle of 67.4 degrees, the second places the rocket at the co-ordinates (10,20) on the parabola.

***Find the EQUATION of the flight path. Find how FAR from the launch site the rocket lands***

I do, and not its not the end of the world like many people have said. Its the end of the 4th cycle and the beginning of the 5th cycle (Love, Peace, and Harmony)

. The first cycle (Ajaw/sun) was a feminine energy and its element was fire. The second cycle (Ajaw/sun) was of masculine energy, and its element was earth. The third cycle (Ajaw/sun) was a feminine energy and its element was air. The fourth cycle (Ajaw/sun) is a masculine energy and its element is water. The fifth cycle (Ajaw/sun) will be a fusion of both feminine and masculine energies. It will be a transition where there won't be any more confrontations between the polarities. It will bring balance and there won't be hierarchy of one over the other. Both energies will support each other.

I need to self teach myself statistics to write my thesis paper for school. My professors are not helpful and I have no books or resources since I am studying overseas. I have the new version of SPSS and have read the help manual. Also, I have used the UCLA statistics help websites. Does anyone know some good online resources to help me learn? I am having the most difficulty figuring out how to analyze my data with the appropriate measurement tools. Example-use t-tests or chi square tests or ANOVA etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I heard a while back, I dont know if its true or not, that division by a negative is "technically" not allowed.

Mathematically, you have to move the negative factor (-1) from the denominator to the numerator before dividing. Its algebraically the same exact thing and produces the same result... one can get away with not even consciously thinking about it. But the rule exists because it matters in higher level mathematics like number theory and whatnot.

Is this true? What do the rules of mathematics actually say about this... about division by negative values?

Likewise, what other odd caveats apply to mathematics that people dont often think about but can easily get away with ignoring?

Highways surfaces are constucting with a roughly parabolic shape. This makes the centre of the raod higher than the sides so the water will drain off the road onto the shoulders.

In this problem the road is 7.6 m across. A cable is embedded in the road 156 cm from one side and the road is 9.4 cm thick at this point.

Find the equation of the parabola. find the MAXIMUM height of the road.

(the numbers in this problem may be very small, so your answers may be accurate to 7 decimal places)

If someone can please help me out it would be great, I must know all the necessary steps to completing this problem. Please show me all the steps!

Thanks,
