Good god! How many moon landing hoax questions can there be? Sheesh! Moon Hoax crazies, creationist crazies, Pi-is-rational crazies, and even "Einstein was WrOnG@!@!!!" crazies all seem to be staunchly American.

I wonder if there was a segment of the ancient Chinese population that who went around talking about how the Great Wall was all a fake government consipiracy...

...or ancient Romans who insisted that the aqueducts never existed.

...or medieval Christians who believed that the Gothic cathedrals were just too damn big and beautiful to have been built by men.

Or is it purely a modern American phenomenon?

Some people believe that calculators have eliminated the need to learn the skills required to perform mathematical operations by hand.
What is YOUR position on this belief?

The other night I looked up in the sky and saw what I thought was Venus. But it was a little strange. It was twilight and I could not see anyother stars or planets, yet. When I drove to the other side of town, it had a different shape.

They say if we had no moon, the Earth as we know it could not exsist.
If water did not expand when frozen, the Earth as we know it would not exsist.
The list of requirements goes on and on. So, is it intelligent design or did we just luck out by meeting all of the correct requirements to have the earth we have?

What would the earth look like, sound like, would there be an earth at all, just like the old story, if no one sees a tree fall down in the forest, it really didn't fall down.

Because there is something. (Matter) If there were nothing even nothing is something.. However, if there were nothing then life would not exist. The New Math... (n = "infinite quantity" any number not 0 not negative 1/n x a helium atom(any particle) = a gas (matter)) The universe, calculated at the starting point = n/1 matter and 1/n space + (n/1)energy +time "so n/1 matter/ 1/n space + n/1 energy will equal 1/n matter/ n/1 space - n/1 energy +time" this is the gas theory math SPOKEN .... ""infinite matter and little space equals infinte space and little matter with energy being the reactant" OR matter/space plus energy plus time equals space/matter minus energy minus time" The gas theory (the starting point is....) matter/space This gas has no properties over time it condenses to 1/4 space 3/4 matter until today it reaches n/1 space 1/n matter At some point the gas develops properties the development of friction is the key event the energy that rapidly reduces the universe could easily leave a fingerprint not unlike that discovered by att...."this is the something from something theory" while the big bang is the "something from nothing theory". Nothing isnt something ever. In my opinion the big bang could only have come about if something had collapsed and condensed into the small dot of matter described. the current theory is preposterous and without foundation everything would have been pulverized, only gasses could have exsisted ....except for the "fingerprint" HOWEVER THE BIG BANGS SO CALLED echo or fingerprint would be "far greater"(very evergetic at a much higher frequency) than just back-round radiation, since the microwaves tend to step up not down. Perhaps vast clouds or wave pools very low density yet highly ebergetic. that is to say I could believe 2 things, 1. friction caused electrical activity could produce microwaves 2. there could still be some gas-left somewhere in the universe, since it is not gravitationally effected to remain near the reduction events. my math will remain !! 1/n times 1 helium atom(any particle) !! times n (matter/space) +n/1 energy n = "infinite" not 0 not any negative numbers = (space/matter)- n/1 energy "Proportion Not Relative" As I can explain it Proportion has no place in the universe....However there is an order to the way matter plays out in space....Look at a field of light particles, now imagine the space between each particle...the mass is displaced yet the motion is relative and constant. Its likely that the matter is toward the front of "flight profile" and the Gravitation is evenly displaced over time and space. Now IF we were in a similar field...a field of vastly larger objects all aligned in a (as a) field, gravitation displaced, going from point A to point B at a constant velocity with eons and eons of time between each "object"...perhaps a field of black-holes...then Time would allow existence...a Gas could still be the starting point out there beyond human comprehension, yet all part of the grand scheme. Even "Heaven" a timeless place could exist...without dimensions or even paradoxes...Just the Universe being unable to be aware of Proportion...Forever doomed to sort out every wisp of matter...suffering hot and cold, dense and light, space and matter, Friction and Emptiness...and worse yet Time, the enemy of old men, tearing the Universe apart, giving it a birth and maybe even a death! Somewhere out there lay virgin matter the original Gas. Could this field of vast objects similar to light be the Gas...Can we see light from so far off that it can somehow be the model from and the closest relative of the Gas? In reality without proportion...from some point at some time every object is a mere wisp.. a wisp of SOMETHING! THE SOMETHING THAT THAT MAKES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE! Why the universe exists? "AFTER ALL IF THERE WERE NOTHING THEN THERE COULD BE NO THING" HOWEVER THERE IS "SOME THING" AND THIS MAKES LIFE POSSIBLE. JE Bressman arr.. edu use ok @2007 The BIG BANGs "accelerations velocities and densities" would not allow the universe to recombine! (after the Big Bang event...) And since the question remains WHERE DID THIS MATTER COME FROM? IN THAT FORM?.... The GAS theory States there was NO SPACE only MATTER.... There is SOMETHING matter! space is NO-THING, nothing, a "void" SO matter could have CREATED space The GAS THEORY states that a GAS, (1/infinite times a Helium atom(or any particle), = (matter MINUS space)) was the original substance, a property-less gas, that had POTENTIAL energy. Ironically only because it was substance and had mass.... This GAS was... At a single volume, pressure, and temperature. First the GAS condensed some. Space was created by this. A VOID was opened. 100%matter--- "?"% ??%matter/??%space (75/25) Then the GAS developed some properties... 1st the(variation) of volume, CREATED the WEAK FORCE from Vacuum/MATTER 2nd (variation)of pressure, CREATED GRAVITATION from condensation/MATTER 3rd (variation) of temperature, CREATED ELECTROMAGNETISM from heat and cold/MATTER 4th friction developed (KINETIC ENERGY) and CAUSED electrical activity, condensations and "dynamic cosmic relationships" A gaseous cloud of "microwave laden matter/energy reactions."? All these 1-4 CREATED the STRONG FORCE (HIGHLY KINETIC AND CONDENSED MATTER) which CAUSED spontaneous disintegration's and atomic radiation. All this lead to the universe as we know it.. You see Space was/(may have been) CREATED FROM a void in matter 1/INFINITE TIMES HELIUM OR(ANY PARTICLE) Matter which we know exists and is the basis for all things remains the foundation of all things.... With the BIG BANG nothing must become something With GAS THEORY matter CREATES SPACE from a void in MATTER the events that are described are "reasonable and logical" JE Bressman Because there is something. (Matter) If there were nothing even nothing is something.. However, if there were nothing then life would not exist. The New Math... (n = "infinite quantity" any number not 0 not negative 1/n x of a helium atom = a gas (matter)) The universe, calculated at the starting point = n/1 matter and 1/n space + (n/1)energy +time "so n/1 matter/ 1/n space + n/1 energy will equal 1/n matter/ n/1 space - n/1 energy +time" this is the gas theory math SPOKEN .... Hypothesis: If the rusting of metal is related to rain, then exposing metal to rain will eventually cause the metal to rust.

What is a way that I could test this hypothesis?

P.S. Do you think this is a good hypothesis?
