The landings were real. The conspiracy theorists, to be blunt, do not have a good grasp of science. Every piece of "evidence" that they have has been soundly refuted by professional scientists (and by regular people who understand science), but for some reason, the conspiracy theorists persist.

Ironically, the "evidence" and photos that they cite only proves that the landings were real.

Two keys pieces of evidence that prove that we went to the Moon:
1) Apollo 11 left behind a reflector, which has been used hundreds of times by professional astronomers to measure the Earth-Moon distance.

2) A number of independent radio telescopes tracked Apollo 11 as it landed on the Moon. This would not have been possible if there had not been a ship on the Moon.

Conspiracy theorists tend to overlook these little pieces of true evidence.

The lunar landing WERE NOT STAGED! When the Apollo missions went to the Moon I was able to see the C/SM circling the Moon with my telescope. Yes these landings were real and twelve astronauts walked upon the surface.
People who believe otherwise are just paranoid people who cannot handle reality. The continued topic posts on this subject are absurd. These people do not want to believe anything.
The moon landings did happen, Capricorn One was a movie, not reality (Just like the analogy of Wag the Dog was supposed to be a movie depiction of the first Gulf War). People see movies like these and belive the fiction that is presented.

No.
I saw it, millions of others saw it, thousands of technicians and scientists were involved in the space program for years before the first landing, the US was committed to reaching the moon (money and resources were no object).

Since you weren't there to see it, you can't know what went on at the time, the impossibility of so many thousands of people to stage or lie about something like that.

And if it was fake, why didn't the Russians say anything (they were the other competitors in the space race, so they would have done anything to discredit the achievement).

I most certainly, DO NOT! I am from Ohio, and if I thought that the moon mission was fake, it would be a slap in the face to all of us, from this great state. Neil Armstrong is from Wapakoneta, Ohio and there is a museum in his honor. If I thought that he was a fake, then all of the history about him, would be a lie. No, the moon landing was real. I just know it was.

It was staged in the following manner: a giant rocket took off from the Earth, and landed 2 men on the moon, and brought them back. This was repeated on 5 other occasions.

The people who claim it was fake are delusional. It really happened.

Oh yeah absolutely. Thousands of scientists worldwide (including the soviets) had to be in on the conspiracy. To this day, though, none has ever breathed a word of it. And everyone knows how good scientists are at keeping secrets. I mean the US kept the atomic bomb secret for just a few years (if that). But the moon landing hoax conspiracy has stayed airtight since the 60s.

No, I've heard 2 astronauts speak. I think it actually happened. They also know too much useless information about space for someone not to have been up there. I think the real question is, what was the point of going to the moon?

It's pretty crazy what people refuse to believe. First they don't believe in evolution. Then they refuse to believe that the world isn't flat (it's true that some people still think the world is flat). And now there are people who don't believe men landed on the moon. I believe it happened. It's kind of ridiculous not to.

NO. Only conspiracy nuts who don't understand basic astronomy and physics think that.

I showed the Fox 'Moon Hoax' show to a class of high school juniors. They debunked it in 30 min. If they can, why do people still listen to conspiracy theorists?
