It would all depend on the nature of the ignorance.

If education and enlightenment would change the ignorant then that would be my purpose.
If nothing I did could change them, then my goal would be to escape to somewhere I could make a difference.

I don't know that victimized would be the appropriate term for my situation. I do tend to get stereotyped because of the area I live in and the type of people who also live in this area.

I don't care about getting back at anyone for it, it's their problem, not mine. And it's impossible to educate the masses. Have you ever spent time in some of these forums like Immigration? You can tell someone 10 different ways what the statistics are and give references to support, but they won't believe it.

i love amongst ignorant people but just because i do doesn't mean that i am in any way less intelligent and well-educated. i can't get back at society for the environment my family put me in. instead, i am grateful that i am mature and wise enough to know how to overcome the issues in my neighborhood and be a successful person. just because a person lives in a tough neighborhood doesn't mean that society is to blame. people make their own decisions and put themselves in the situations they're in.

I don't if I can I have been victimized, but perhaps I have been in some way. I would educate the masses, but as I've seen on here, it is not always possible to educate those who will not listen. Its a constant effort to defeat ignorance, and it probably always will be.

Yes I used to live in a very tough city where at least two people get shot at everyday! I thank God I moved out of there because now we can afford to live in a higher class suburb! I wish I could slap some common sense and class into them but it just isn't that simple!

Yes I have.it had to do with where I learnt.Basically we tend to get stereotyped according to where we learnt, since most schools have certain traditions. There is no way I could possibly get back at those who tend to rate me by the subjects I did, or sport, or school as this is more or less like racism or sexism, somthing we really can't totally rid as much as we may try.So those who care to know me personally will rip accordingly and those who stereotype,well....there isn't much I can do about that is there?I just hope one day they will learn their lesson.

Everybody in the world is ignorant about at least one thing in one way or another.
You ask anyone, even somebody you would consider to be 'ignorant', and they will tell you about the ignorant people in their life.
No offence intended, but you are sure to eventually find someone who thinks you are ignorant.
