Prove by contrapositive:

Let a,b,c,x,y be integers if a|b and a|c then a|bx+cy.

So I want to prove that if a doesn't divide bx+cy then a doesn't divide b and a doesnt divide c. But I don't really know how to get started.

this is not setting up like I wanterd so
it is x-13 over x^2-x-12 + 3x-3 over x^2-z-12

You know how when heavy rain is approaching a couple of km away, even when out in the countryside suddenly you can smell it, and sometimes quite strongly...?

I ask this because I am asked to find the equilibrium constant K for the reaction N2 + O2 --> 2NO when the temperature is 1100 degrees Celsius. Given that (delta)G^0 for the reaction at 25 degrees Celsius is 173.4 kJ/mol. I thought that I could use the equation (delta)G^0 = - RT ln K , because the (delta)G^0 is still 173.4 for it at this new temperature . .
