OK so I dig a hole and keep digging (forget about the heat of the earth's core and any oceans or whatever. As I can dig half way (because of gravity's pull) would I have to start digging upwards to get through to the other side. But how can I dig up if gravity will just pull be back down ? Would I float in the centre of the earth or something? Imagine there was a huge tunnel from one side of the earth to the other and I jumped down it, what would happen when I got to the centre of the earth with regards to gravity? Thoughts??

We are getting quite a bit of snow today and my daughter asked about all of the wildlife around our house. Do frogs hibernate? I have a one year old which needs my attention so I don't have time to research this very inquisitive question. We are in Pittsburgh. What other indigenous animals can I tell her about?
Thank you so much for all of your help!
