Humans have discovered the existence of atoms. It somehow replicates the formation of the solar system. Maybe the solar system replicates the galaxy and the galaxy replicates something else... futher more, the galaxy may be a part of something big.

Compare f(x) = a^x and f(x) = log[base a]x in terms of:

1. Intercepts (x and/or y)
2. Symmetry (to each other)
3. The concept of inverse (including f of f^-1(x))

Any help would be appreciated.

9(-7) - 6(-7)^2 + 4(2)^2 is:
-63 - 294 + 16.

If I start from largest to smallest to solve this I would do 294 + 16 =310. So then I'm left with -63 - 310. But if you have a negative number minus a positive number you subtract right? so (neg - pos = subtract) -63-310= -373. Which turned out to be wrong. The right way would of been -62 - 294 + 16 = -341.

If the following charts I have are true, what am I doing wrong?

Adding intergers

Negative + Negative = (add)
Positive + Positive = (add)
Negative - Negative = Add (add as written)
Positive - Positive = (Subtract)
Negative + Positive = (add)
Positive + Negative = (subtract)
Negative - Positive = (Subtract)
Positive - Negative = (add)

Positive squared = positive
Positive cubed = positive

Integers & powers
Negative squared = positive
Negative cubed = negative
Positive multiplied by positive = positive
Negative multiplied by negative = positive
Negative multiplied by positive = negative
Positive multiplied by negative = negativ

As far as my general knowledge is concerned, there are (maybe were) supposed to be two different explanations of the property of the universe. One is, it was generated from a point and now continuously expanding; and the other is, it's continuously contracting and will become a point. Whatever it is, but where the hell is the universe expanding or contracting? What's that space? How big that space is? What's that contained in? I am absolutely confused.

I need to make a container for science class and it needs to hold in as much heat as possible if I put in hot water. But I can't use a Thermos and the device has to fit on top of my desk. Also, I need to be able to open the device and put in the hot water. This device can not contain a heater or hot material of any kind except for the container of hot water. I'd like to keep the materials easy to find and cheap. Thanks!
