Algebra integer help!?

Question

Adding intergers:

Negative + Negative = (add)
Positive + Positive = (add)

Negative - Negative = (add)
Positive - Positive = (subtract)

Negative + Positive = (add)
Positive + Negative = (subtract)

Negative - Positive = (Subtract)
Positive - Negative = (add)

Is this correct?

Imagine this as a well. Negative is below surface level, positive is above surface level. Adding is increasing more of the latter, and minus is decreasing the latter.

So, Negative + Negative would be MINUS because a deep surface level ADDS MORE negative value, making it even more lesser, making the answer LESS than the original value.

Positive + Positive is add =)

Negative MINUS negative is ADD =) because you are REDUCING the deepness.

Positive - Positive is minus =)

Negative + Positive is add, as anything + positive is increasing its original value...

Positive + Negative is subtract, yes, as it increases its depths.

Negative - Positive, just as anything minus positive is subtract, is subtract =)

And finally, Positive minus negative is add yes =)

Remember, anything - positive is minus, + positive is add, - negative is add, and + negative is minus.

heiy.. you need to reposite the idea about integer algebra.. in which (Z,+) group, the group (system) that most integer calculation occurs through it..
there is no subtract-operation on the set of all integer set (it is called in abstract algebra Z, "the set of all integer numbers"), so
Z:={...,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,...}
when we say 3-7, it means 3+(-7), because (-7) is an integer..
now, i will return to your question..
Negative - Negative=(add) : it's true becasues -3 - (-7)=-3+7
and (-3) is integer.
but the rule
Negative - Positive = Negative + Negative
because -3-7=(-3) + (-7)
