a) f(x) = x^5 + 2x^3 + x^(-1) - 1

f ` (x) = 5x^4 + 6x^2 - x^(-2)

f ` (x) = 5x^4 + 6x^2 - 1/x^2

b) f `(x) = acos(ax) - be^(-bx)

c) f `(x) = 3(1 - x) ² (-1) = -3 (1 - x²)

d) I am going to play a hunch here and say that f(x) should be:-

f (x) = 2x² . sin(2x)

f `(x) = 4x . sin (2x) + 2cos 2x . 2x²

f `(x) = 4x . sin(2x) + 4x². cos2x
