I just want to know a few interesting facts, or fascinating things about mathematics e.g. the golden ratio in nature, or clever things about pi, how imaginary numbers are used... whatever!

Im quite good at maths, and its always been my passion, but I dont do A level or anything yet (and Im only a teenager) so give me something interesting yet understandable (ie no huge formulae!!!)

Please feel free to tell me anything you find is interesting, and the reasons I want to know this is a) it is fun b) it gives me something clever to talk about!!!.

Thank you all!

A bicyclist can cost down a 5 degree hill at a constant 6km/h speed. If the force of friction (air resistance) is proportional to the speed v so that Ffr=cv, calculate:
a)the value of the constant c
b) the average force that must be applied in order to descend the hill at 20 km/h. The mass of the cyclist plus bicycle is 80 kg.
I solved part a(or i think so!) c=459,4 . If anyone tells me the b part, i take A+ at physics. PLZ HELP

i) how do we justify the existence of 6 variants of HLA 1 n 12 of HLA 2?
ii) and does an individual has all the 3 alleles of HLA 1 (A,B n C)? if so, d individual-individual variation is only due to the type of allele which predominates and the mutations in them?
iii) also, how does the HLA profile decides the susceptibility or the reistance to a particular microbial disease or pathogen ( say, HIV)?
