Hi, I would like to estimate some points by using log regression. For a matter of example, the dependent data points are 74,62,49,36,34,30....whats the next point based on log and how do I calculate it? What is the formula?

You can use 1,2,3 for the independent variable. I need to find out how to arrive at the equation in the form, y= a ln(bx) using the set of numbers given

The data points supplied are not sufficient. You need point pairs
For example
(74, ?) or (?,74)
(62, ?) or (?,62)

and so on

Let's assume that you have a function

y=a/ln(bx)

If you find a and b then you have the solution .
For that you need to use y=74 and a corresponding value of x
