This came up in a discussion I was allowed to witness. It seems there is a rare form of a cat that smells like a skunk in a foreign country that eats coffee beans at a certain maturity time and it's digestive system allows these beans to be processed to a point that they are chosen as the richest source for coffee, like $300 a pound.

K, see, I realise I am probably going to get answers such as 'because it's fun' or 'because it shows affection'. I KNOW that, ok? I am looking for the REAL reason. Like, the reason we have sex is based on the primal need to procreate and the reason men like big breasts is because big breasts = more milk for the young. The reason we like muscular men is because it represents strength which would both be passed onto the young and also, women see it, deep down, as an aid in protecting the family. Men get jealous because they are competing to be the Alpha Male. Now, I want to know what is the biolical need for kissing?

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

I have a 12 foot long 6"x6" beam made out of pressure treated lumber (pine I think). It is supported by concrete on each end. Is there a formula to figure out how much weight it is rated to support if the weight is distributed evenly?

Also, if I added an addional concrete support in the center, would that double the beam's support rating? Or would it increase it by a factor greater than two?

Thanks.

I have to do a science project that is similar to mouse trap- an action triggers another and so on, until the end, where I have to pop a balloon. I'm running out of ideas!! help! Requirements: 1. pop a balloon at the end of the trial 2. 4 energy forms must be used throughout project (mechanical- hitting things to tip them over etc) (electromagnetical- friction etc) (thermal- using heat to trigger an action) (electrical- idk what to do here!) whoever is most helpful will get 10 points, and please don't post any rude answers about "do your own science project". Ideas so far: marble rolling down a tube, which hits a dixie cup filled with water, pouring the water onto a paper towel with a golf ball sitting on it (water causes paper towel to tear), golf ball falls in a cup, which triggers a pully thing...ideas after pully? thanks!!!!!!!!!

I'm totally stuck with this problem...
A certain microwave oven delivers 750 watts (joule/s) of power to a coffee cup containing 50 g of water at 25 degrees C. If the wavelength of microwaves in the oven is 9.75cm, how long does it take, and how many photons must be absorbed to make the water boil? The specific heat capacity of water is 4.18J/Cg and assume only the water absobs the energy of the microwaves. Thanks so much!

I have a problem, the question is....

Jo adds up all the postive integers from 1 to 50. Kate does a similar thing with the first 50 positive integers; however, she first rounds every integer to its positive difference between Jo's sum and Kate's sum?

Wat is the answer?
