7th grade math questions - example:: In the sequence ABCDEABCDE ... what is the 63rd letter?

1. In the sequence ABCDEABCDE...what is the 63rd letter?

2. How many different 2- by 2-squares are on a chessboard?

3. Seat belts were first used in cars 19 years before the first moon walk. In what year were seat belts first used in cars?

4. A chukker in polo is a period of play that is 7 1/2 minutes long. There are 8 chukkers in a game of polo. How many chukkers are left in the game after 45 minutes of play?

5. Pete Rose set a new record in 1985 for total number of hits in his career. He set this new record on the anniversary of the previous record-holder Ty Cobb's last time at-bat. In what year was Ty Cobb last at-bat? The number of years between records is a two-digit number. Both digits are primes. The smallest prime is the tens' digit. The sum of the digits is 12.

okkk now if your going to answer in some dumb way like-"Do your own homework"-or any of that crap, you can go answer a diff. question cause I hate hearing that - & its not homework i wanna see how many people would actually get this stuff right

1. C (5 letter sequence, so the 60th letter is E, 61 is A, 62 is B)

2. 49 (7 2x2 per row, 7 rows)

3. 1950 (the first moon walk was in 1969

4. 2 chuckers left (7.5 * 8 = 60, 60 - 45 = 15 minutes remaining, 15 / 7.5 = 2 chuckers)

5. 1928 (57 years difference)

1) C, C is the answer for every number whose remainder is 3 when divided by 5.
2) Chessboard is 8x8, so a 2x2 square can begin in any of the left/top 7x7 squares = 49
3) 1969 - 19 = 1950
4) game is 60 minutes - 45 = 15 minutes = 2 chukkers
5) 2 single digit primes who total 12 is 5 and 7, so diff in years is 57. 1985 - 57 = 1928.

2)...i think there are 49 2 by 2 squares
3)...well they say the first moon walk was on 1969 so that means seat belts were there on 1950
4)...45/7.5=6 and 8-6=2 chukkers
5)...75 is the number of years between records. so 1985+75= 2060....that one i got wrong
