I've taken Calculus I, II, and III. I still struggle with it. When do you actually get good?

My own personal experience was that I was ok with algebra when I took it, but when I took calculus and differential equations (and physics, and electronic circuit analysis, and...) I did so much algebra that it became as natural to me as arithmetic.

If you've made it through three semesters of calculus and algebra is still challenging, I doubt it's going to get any easier without perhaps going back and working your way through it all again. Practice makes perfect.
