Why is the letter "m" used and not "s" to indicate slope? For example, m=3 would indicate that the slope is equal to 3.

These started falling several weeks ago. They vary in color from bright red to light brown. I have counted as many as 19 of these attached in a cluster attached to one leaf. The clusters seem to build up like a pyramid. They are pointed at one end and on the other end they look like they had a stem attached.

If you have a set of twins...we'll say male twins...and they each have a child, and the children have the same mother, are they, genetically speaking, full siblings? Even thought they have different fathers, their father's have the same dna, right? So is there any way to set them apart genetically?? I know on paper they'd be half siblings, but, I want to know genetically speaking, if they are full siblings...this question has been tormenting me...any help would be greatly appreciated=)

The third question in a problem I'm given asks if and when the object returns to its starting position. What would the starting position on a graph be? If the domain is [0, infinity), the starting position is (0,9). Is there none, considering the equation is x(t)=t + 9/(t+1)? Or would it be when x(t)=9 again, which in this case, would be t=8?
Thanks a bunch
