My doctor gave me this pills to help me ovulat more here is the name METFORMIN he said it was for people with diabities but it could till help me....can anyone help...

hi there. a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome can cause irregualur ovulating, so there for irregular periods, but the condition is also not helped my fluctuating (changing rapidly) blood sugar levels, which can also happen in diabetes, so the tablets given to diabetics which control their blood sugar, could also help control yours, because this could be a cause of irregular ovulating. hope that helps!!

Metformin is marketed in the US as glucophage. It is a antihyperglycemic agent, or it helps regulate the amount of glucose or sugar in the blood. There are studies where it helped people ovulate more on schedule. My daughter took it for that reason.

For the second indication which you have mentioned...the best judge would be a gynaecologist !
