It always amazes me when science continues to discover new life forms, and scientific facts. Well they aren't "new", just previously unknown discoveries to all of us.

Even unknown galaxies, planets, and ethnic groups have recently been discovered. There was a small tribe in the rain forest discovered a few years ago, whom were very small, and had features similar to prehistoric man. No one had ever seen them before. Just amazing to me.

It would be nice if there was one website which listed all these new found discoveries(last 10 years or so), along with the dates when they were discovered. Does anyone know of a website like this?

A coin spins due to the force of the hand that spinned it and due to the friction in the ground but finally stops spinning at a point of time. A ball spins in mid air due the force of the hand that threw it but finally stops and falls to the ground. Please explain the law of motion that makes the earth rotate on its own axis in a vacumn for millions of years. There is no friction of the ground, there is no force that threw it. But it does have a certain gravitational pull from the sun and all other planets around it. My doubt is how can gravitational pull of other planets and the sun make it spin round and round on its axis for ages? Also please explain the law of motion, with suitable easy examples so that even a kid can understand. What makes the planets rotate on its axis and revolve on its individual revolutionary path? Explain revolution and rotation in a much simpler way with examples? Thank you so much

If you haven't heard Pluto is no longer a planet class. Because it is a big ball of ice. (Jupiter is just a ball of gas thoough) And its new name is something like 0100110.

Does anyone else think this is stupid? I mean if a ball of gas is a plant why not a ball of ice? And why on earth change the name to a bunch of numbers? For 100s of years its been known as Pluto, so why not just leave it be as Pluto?

I think the whole thing is a load and some sciencetes is just trying to make a name for themselfs.

What do you think?
