Yes!
It was a big gun, built in Florida, that fired a huge bullet directly at the Moon.
The bullet hit the Moon in the eye.
It was Jules Vernes who pulled the trigger.
A second bullet was fired later with the same objective, but in black and white, in one of the first movies "De la Terre a la Lune".
(From the Earth to the Moon).
Nice naive stories.
But humans?

NO. Only projectile launched on the moon was a golf ball struck by Alan Shepard in February 1971. Travelled about 6 times farther than on Earth I believe....

Humans have fired guns at the moon...but have never fired guns on the moon...

They are not even sure if they have been to the moon yet...

I think the astronauts had a gunrack in the LM. Personal protection.

Seriously, despite the NRA's urging, I think NASA decided their guys didn't need to pack heat on the surface

Firing a gun requires Oxygen to sustain the combustion of the gun powder .... no air means no combustion.
