This is a followup question.

I know that if we assume Zorn's lemma, any ring with unity has a maximal ideal. I also know that this may not be true for a ring without unity.

Does anyone have an example of a ring without a maximal ideal, preferably with a "nice, simple" construction that doesn't involve the Axiom of Choice?

when I was about 12 and fishing on a pond some much bigger boys than me would bring sodium valves with a hole drilled in the valve and throw them into the pond, minutes later they exploded and fish floated to the top and they swam out to get them, now this was 45 years ago as memory serves me.????

I was wondering what something was called. The graph looks like a regular sine graph but when i zoomed in it looked like the line itself was making hundreds of little up and down things. What is it called. Here is the equation y= sin x + .05 sin (50x). And im not really sure about this one, is it in as specific mode? Well if anybody can tell me that would be cool thank you.

I'm interested in learning Chemistry almost purely by asking questions about once a day through email. Where can I find a tutor who has taken three or more college chemistry clasess? I can't seem to find any services on the internet that offer such a service. Also, how much should I expect a months worth of service to cost?

Everyone knows that passenger jet’s cabin must be air tight to maintain a breathable atmosphere for the passengers, BUT what I’d like to know is, why is the cabin pressure increased so greatly for flight? Especially when at higher altitudes, with thinner air, there is less athmospheric pressure pushing in on the aircraft hull from outside.

Wouldn’t it be possible to maintain a breathable atmosphere inside the plane with air pressure equal to that on the ground if the cabin were only airtight and supplied with oxygen?

I asked the question (Is "this" a circular reference?). This question so infuriated one individual that he stated that he was going to report me! He did and within hours my question was removed "For being a chat or private message" I don't see it do you? I however can get no explanation from yahoo answers as to why this individual has so much sway at yahoo answers. Any Ideas? Any similar experiences?

Each year billions of animals of all types are captured from the wild and sold in the wildlife trade. Commercial uses of wildlife can be divided into the trade in wildlife parts and products and the trade in live wildlife. The trade in wildlife parts and products includes exotic leathers and fur (elephant skin boots, kangaroo skin soccer balls, cat, fox and coyote fur coats, ostrich skin boots, bird feather apparel, snake and lizard skin shoes, crocodile and alligator shoes and purses, eel skin purses and shark skin shoes), ornamental objects (elephant ivory jewelry, sea turtle shell cases, snail shells, matted butterflies), food (monkey and ape bushmeat, turtle soup, frog legs, bear paws, fish, lobsters, crabs, shrimp, clams and oysters), and traditional medicine (tiger bones, rhinoceros horns, deer antlers, bear gall bladders).
I believe that the time has come to stamp out the trade once and for all!!
