I was wondering what something was called. The graph looks like a regular sine graph but when i zoomed in it looked like the line itself was making hundreds of little up and down things. What is it called. Here is the equation y= sin x + .05 sin (50x). And im not really sure about this one, is it in as specific mode? Well if anybody can tell me that would be cool thank you.

That is noise. If your graph looks like it should until you zoom way in then don't worry about it. Electrical signals from other devices produce noise, that interferes with your signal slightly. Depending on the application, the noise is either irrelevant (this is what I assume for your case) or it is a big problem when you start getting into technical electrical engineering.

it might be a problem with your graphing equipment.
the smooth curve you see (without zoom) is made of small lines (pieces of darkness) which show up as different components when you zoom.

try graphing y = sinx itself and then zoom.

I withdraw my answer as AM. What you have is not modulation. It is just a sum function.
