What is "e"? What does e stand for, what equations can it be used in? And what fields use it, what applications does it have? Just wondering. i know I've heard of e, but I have no idea what it is used for.

Right now, we are having a huge storm with rain, thunder, and lightening, courtesy of Mother Nature! I was outside on my balcony watching the sky lighting up, but I got scared and came back in! The lightening is really close and goes right across the sky! There is continuous rumbling and loud cracks of thunder!

I'm not a wuss, but I have a friend who has been hit by lightening twice and suvived!

All you can hear outside is people with their ooohs and aaaahs!

Hey, I'm doing some algebra stuff, but I don't know how to do what I'm working on. Here's some examples of what I'm dealing with:

(2a - 3)/6 = (4a)/3 + 2/3

(3x)/5 + 3/4 = (6x)/10

(2b - 3)/7 - b/2 = (b + 3)/14

Could anyone tell me how to solve these problems and others like them?
