Integers is not high school work. In fact, you should already know some algebra.
Thank your teach for his help and try working harder. Or perhaps find a different teacher who can help relate the material in a more understandable way for you. :-)

Think of the
"Set of Integers" as the set of Natural Numbers with the following difference.
They extend to negative infinity to the left and to positive Infinity to the right.
Think of the real number line only with the set of Integers.

Many would argue that integers should be learned even earlier. You teacher is doing you a favor and certainly isn't overstepping his boundaries.
Hang in there and take it as it comes. Education is a privilege you should embrace. There are many kids in other countries who don't get the benefit of a solid education. They are at a disadvantage because of it. It's disturbing to be because I'm sure there are millions of great minds going to waste.

i would suggest to go with it. even though you find this as a challenge to you right now, you are learning at a younger age, and they've found that when you are young, it is easier to understand information and learn it. I would take it as a blessing b/c this could help you with career options in the future.
Besides, if he didn't think you were able to do it, he wouldn't have given you the challenge.

Learn to love integers! They are your friends... just stay away from the imaginary numbers... they are not. If you are having problems with positive and negitive numbers, I believe you are beyond the help of any of us.
