Einstein's theory says that faster than light (FTL) travel is impossible. I would like to think that there are other options which have not been discovered or developed yet. FTL would make interstellar travel so much easier. Has anyone got any strong views?

Here's the question - actually 2 essential questions.

If e=mc², then what portion of that total energy can be attributed to the former gravity of the mass particle prior to the conversion and where does that gravity go afterwards?

On the other hand, when massless energy particles interact to form matter from pure energy, what portion of that energy becomes the gravitational energy of the resulting mass particles and where does that gravity originate?

The equation e=mc² seems to imply that all the resulting energy is purely electromagnetic, but electromagnetic energy and gravity seem to have entirely different properties and have so far eluded any effort to unify them.

Somewhere during this interconversion process gravity disappears into nowhere or appears from nowhere as the result of an entirely electromagnetic process that in no way addresses where gravity goes or originates.

For Instance the

n=1

=11/6
Is there a way to work this on the TI-83? any help would be appreciated.

I did the math and the leader Kevin currently has 7814 answers with the variable being 10 for best answer ,which is almost not possible here, tallies up to 78140 points and factor in the 15 questions for 150. Now, my score along with questions and answers equals 86. Though the leaders are higher than us, this trick is false-proof, but I see no other way since the numbers do not add up. please correct me on this accusation for I am a mathematician for the last 32 years and had to say something. The variables do not match and the corresponding numbers "150" and "7814" in no way equals this.
