I've noticed that the odor of an object doesn't seem to wear out over time. If odor is simply molecules flying off the object into the air, why don't these molecules "wear out"? If you have something real smelly, like, a perfumed candle, it still seems to smell just as strong, 20 years later. Is the mass of this candle actually decreasing because these molecules are constantly being thrown off? Will the candle actually weigh less after 30 years? etc.

Starting tommorrow I'm going to be doing a sort of interneship at a college with a proffessor who's studying the effects of drugs in humans (especially methamphetamine in pregnent women & homosexuals). We're supposed to be working with live lab rats & I've never done that before. What should I be wary of?

I saw in a movie where a wheel came off a car travelling at high speed, and then the wheel appeared to overtake the car. I don't see how this is possible. Physics tells me the wheel could only travel at the same speed it was going at before it fell off, or slower.
