A coworker and I debated my question. His argument was that there has been a recent surge in giardia cases (in the last 20 years or so) because the number of hikers and such as increased a lot in that time and THEY have spread the organism around in the wilderness. I posited that it can be spread by human feces, but that it is far more likely that people are contracting it from animal sources than from human sources. What do you think? Also, do you know of an authoritative place I can go to for more information along these lines?

there was a discussion group talking about time travel and solving the randon quas theory. they developed a plasma bubble that in side slowed time or stoped it.By useing atomic clocks they determined that time was slowed and stoped. if the plasma bubble colapsed it caused any organic material to be destroyed. I wonder if the goverment stoped the discussion . there must have been some kind of break truough. what answers does anyone have.

Here in New Jersey, its been raining for about 4 days straight and when you walk out the door, its like walking into a warm pool of water. I think our climate's switched with Costa Rica or something.

1 pump can empty a room full of water in 24 hours, while 2 can empty it in 12 hours, 3 pumps in 8 hours. if you keep increasing the number of pumps, the time it takes to empty will approach zero, but never reach it. Is this a valid analogy?

Salt dissociates in water and the solution is then able to conduct electricity (ions). So whenever there is a storm at sea, if the lightning strikes water, how come the electric current doesnt travel up, for example, a cruise ship since it is metal, and shock ppl on board?
--fresh water doesnt conduct elect.
