Hi
The most damping rubber material I know is acrylate caoutchouc. It is also temperatur resistant up to 130°C. CR (chlorine butadiene caoutchouc) is also pretty good in damping. An alternative material is PU foam. The right material for you depends on the application.

The word you were looking for is damp.

To dampen something is to make it moist.
