We know cats always land on their feet when they jump from a high place. We know a buttered piece of bread always fallls butter-side-down. NOW, if we strap a piece of buttered bread to the back of a cat, and it jumps from a high place (not hurting itself), which would land first, the cat's feet or the buttered bread? Most webs lie in a vertical plane, or slightly diagonal in relation to the ground underneath it. Why not horizontal? Is the spider capable of detecting gravity? Wind currents?
