May is the month that usually gets more tornadoes then any other with June in at a close 2nd and April in at a close 3rd. May is the mainly the month when the air masses clash the most meaning the warm air clashng with the cooler air which is why May is the month that gets the most. Then again this also varies from year to year too but, it is mostly May.

it depends where you live. in the deep south of the United states tornadoes are most likely, toward the end of January, Feb. when the jet stream is still dips south. then as things heat up and the jet steam lifts north ...going into spring the tornado action shifts north toward Illinois (where i live) Iowa, Nebraska, etc... and the 3 main months are April may June... but that's starting to lean more toward the end of march, since the last few years more tornado's have come in march. but overall tornado activity can happen anywhere anytime. im a meteorology student.

It depends on where you are throughout the country but for the most part the worst tornadoes occur in late June or early July when the weather patterns are changing, this epically occurs in the mid-western states or as it is better known: tornado alley.
