Homo sepiens history is millions of years. then how come we do not have contageous desease from millions of years ago. all the harshest contageous desease heppend in couple decades. and they likely to remain in our specie's gene pool. such as HIV. how come it didnot exist from millions of years ago. if its transmitted from monkey. we ate more monkey millions years ago. it is very mysterious. since some desease like HIV will likely to stay in our specie in the future but non have stayed since millions years ago. and we did not even have medication for cure millions years ago. isnt it interesting? can new desease still happen to human all the sudden? and why does it happen? if HIV existed millions of years ago wouldnt we all be extinct? or actually medication to prolong life is bad effect to the society as whole? because its cause more people to be contaminated and not die naturally. anybody know the answer ?

The hydraulic engine mounting type has a specific fluid to damp/isolate the engine vibration. Would like to know the detail workings of it on how the design for the chambers within the system is decided. also the advantage/disadvantage of this system compared to the classis solid rubber damping used in engine mounting systems. Also appreciate the description on terminologies used in the system. thanks

Any watches that I wear start to corrode. I got a new Timex for Christmas and the side that faces my hand is already rotting(little holes, rough spots from pitted metal). My dad has a Seiko and his is okay. Whenever I wear new rings(anything except gold or platinum) they start to corrode and pit. Sometimes they even turn black on the inside and anywhere they touch my skin. Same thing for my dad.
Occasionally they'll even turn my fingers green(my husband and I bought matching engraved rings at Disney; mine turned black and my finger green and his was fine).
All my earrings have to be for sensitive ears or they get infected and the holes get black around the edges.
Anyone know why this happens or what causes it? Anything I can do to save myself from having to buy new watches ever 6 months - a year?

I am in Christchurch, New Zealand and it has been snowing off and on for the last 10 or so hours...it very rarely snows in the city especially being by the sea, this is our first snow for the winter and it probably won't snow again here this winter, but then again it could. It is 0° degrees Celsius which is freezing point for those of you using Fahrenheit. Have a great day ;0)
