Cause 11 + 11 = 22 is an addition and 9 * 9 = 81 is a multiplication. Therefore, 9 * 9 cannot give u 99.

That is stupid. 11 x 11 is 121 11 + 11 is 22 9 x 9 is 81 and 9 + 9 is 18. Didn't you learn this in first grade?

Because it's 9, 9 times. You plus 9 to 9, 9 times, if you were to wirte 11+11=22 in times then it would be 11x 2=22 which means 11 2 times.

because 11+11 is an ADDITION and 9x9 is a MULTIPLICATION.

But look at your 11 table of multiplication:
11 x 2 = 22, 11x 3 = 33, 11 x 4 = 44 ......11 x 9 = 99

Because it equals 81! Addition isn't the same as multiplication. When you add 22 and 11 it makes 33. When you mulitiply you deal with a much faster rate of replication. Speaking of 33 multiply that by 3 and you'll know why 9x9 won't ever equal 99.

Because 11 x 9 = 99
Because 3 x 33= 99

This question makes no sense. Your trying to compare apples with oranges. One is addition the other is multiplication.

You have a good day!

Multiplication is just adding a number to itself so many times, so 9x9 just means 9+9+9, etc.

So, if you add 9 to itself 9 times, it equals 81, not 99. Try it out for yourself, and that'll help you understand.

If you take 9 balls and say that you want anouther 9 sets of those balls you are multipying.
If you take 11 balls and just take one more group of a 11 balls then you will ony get 22 balls or 11*1=11
9times one set of 9 would have to be 9>>>>>it is kinda controdicting and confusing i like am lost!sadly

Because 11 x 11 = 121

BUT, and this may be where you are headed with this:

Two totally different operations, addition and multiplication. Two totally different sets of numbers.

What on earth would make you think that 9 x 9 would be 99?
