Trying to Conceive - January 2007

Now before you are quick to judge, please listen to my story FIRST. My boyfriend and i have been together for 2 years. We are extremely commited to eachother, and plan on getting married in 2 years. We have had many pregnancy "scares", and have actually grown quite fond of the idea of having a child. However, I am 16 and he is 17. WAIT, let me finish. Both of us have already graduated from highschool and have very stable, well-paying jobs. We realize this is a serious commitment and a child is a human being, not a pet. We feel we are ready for this right now, and where we live (Hawai'i) it is socially acceptable to have children at a young age. I know this is a personal choice, but I want POSITIVE feedback from other people who do not know me, but have an open mind and open ears and are willing to give me their honest, KIND opinion. Thank you.

Is it harder to conceive? I mean I pray to god not b/c I want a ton of kids, but I just have no clue. I know my cyst is pretty big(Its between the size of a golf ball and tennis ball) and that it turns with my ovary often. I also know I may have surgery to be rid of it in march if it keeps twisting with the ovary. Please tell me anything you know about whether or not I may not be able to become pregnant b/c of it...?

(if it is true then i am absolutely OVER the moon! ) my last period was chistmas day (joy!) so its so early and i almost dont want to believe it incase its not true... i am not on any fertility drugs, nor anything else which seems to give a false reading.... what do you think everyone???!!! can i believe this?!

I live in the Middle East and there is a prominent belief here that cat hair can somehow lodge in the female reproductive organs and cause infertility. I think it's a bunch of hogwash, but some doctors here even say this. What do you think? I would love to hear some professional opinions!

Im trying to get pregnant and we want a boy...Is there any sexuall positions that make it more likely to be a boy???I heard if the penis goes in a certain way it can increase the chances of it being a boy...Is that true??

I had my doctors visit on January 3 18 days after I ovulated could the doctor tell with out blood test just from my pap smear and regular exam that I was pregnant.

My wife really wants to have kids and so do I. However, we still haven't experienced a pregnancy, even after all this time. We haven't used birth control, so we know it's not that.

When we talk to our friends about it we hear stories about people who tried forever to get pregnant and people who got pregnant the first time they had sex.

But what's normal for a couple? How long does it usually take to get pregnant? I'm guessing it probably varies a lot, but is there some kind of ballpark figure out there?

I've kept track of my BBT for 2 years. On my current cycle I had erratic wake up times & several missed temps. I decided I didn't have the info for an accurate chart. I quit taking temps & figured I'd start again with my next cycle. So I have no idea when I ovulated. Over the past 2 years my average cycle was 30 days. I had one 44 day cycle. Due to work schedules my husband & I didn't have sex for days 7-27. So when day 30 came & went with no period I figured there was no way I could be pregnant & this cycle was just going to be a little longer than usual. When day 44 came & went with no period I began to wonder if the sex on day 28 could have been the right time for us & I actually got pregnant. I took a test today (day 46). The control & negative lines were light but definitely really there (3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10). The positive line was a 10. Any positive line is supposed to mean pregnant. But if the test was valid why are the control & negative lines much lighter? Am I pregnant?

and i have hard nipples all the time which i never have only when it's cold or something and i'm in a sweater for crying out loud its just i still notice things and very confused and still very late and i still get the achy crampy symptoms across the bottom of my belly but still no period yet so that would make me 2 weeks late and sometimes i have noticed to when i get hungry its look out i want that food lol anyways thank you again its been nice to see what everyone else has to say besides a doctor or family all the time

i am not due for my period for another 5 days. but i read some of these question and answers and i keep saying "i have that" "oh i have that too" i am nausous, i want to sleep all of the time. I am eating things i normally would not as in i dont drink soda usually but lately thats what i want. I have lower back pain and sometimes it makes me want to hold my breath until its gone. also about a week or so ago i was lightly bleeding for about 12 hours it wasnt really noticable i only saw it when i was wiping, not on my pantyliner or anything. I am not sure i just want a few opinions from mommies to be or moms that already have there bundles of joy. my husband and i are trying and we hope this is our time because he leaves for Iraq real soon and thats the one thing him and i want together. thank you all for helping me!!

What symptoms do you get before your period?
I'm feeling cramps, alot of clear discharge, tender breast, bloated, back ache, sleepy all day and headaches, sometimes nausea

My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for almost a year. I'm just now starting to feel/think that I might be pregnant. I'm not sure, I haven't taken a test yet because I'm afraid it might be too soon, but I'm so excited if I am. ANyway, the reason why I THINK I might be is because, my boobs have been sore when I poke them not that I poke poke them a lot because it hurts... I got what I think might be "implantation bleeding" around 9 days after my husband and I did the deed, along with minor cramps, and I have been so mean latley. I have been laughing and then yelling and then crying and I feel like I cant control it! help! Whats going on? I am waiting until I miss my period to take a test. But does anybody know if this sounds like I might be pregnant? Any advice on what to do? Thank you

I was on the pill for about a month, then we decided that we'd try. i thought i was, then i started 3 days early. so how long does i take coming off the pill to get pregnant? and is it true that some have there first period regular, before they find out there pregant? and if so how many out there has this happened to?

My last period started on December 26 and I have a regular cycle of 28 days, well I thought I had ovulated the 9th and when I went to my gyn on the 15th, when she checked she said I still had eggwhite like mucus discharge, Would that mean I didn't ovulate until a week before my period? My period is due on the 23rd.

I am 23 have been pregnant once. I lost baby at 6 weeks. Didnt know my uterus was tilted until my prenatal exam. Is it more difficult to conceive with a tilted back uterus? because i have been TTc since loss of baby in Oct, and nothing yet. and is it also harder to carry with it being tilted?

Are you just as fertile after a miscarriage without a DnC as u are when u have a DnC?? Miscarried in Oct 06 and have TTC since.
Dr said i wouldn't have to have a DnC because my hormone level went back down to zero within 3 weeks of the miscarriage

Brief history: I am 24, never have been on any types of birth control. I guess the pull out method has always been in my favor. I am a newly wed! My is husband, 26. We have now decided to start a family so i went to the gyno and had my yearly exam and she said i was good to go.I also work out daily and eat very healthy. I always have regular periods. Never skipped a month since i started. Each month my period comes 2 days earlier, for example in Nov 06 i got it on the 7th, Dec 06 i got my period on the 5th. and now in January I got my period on the night of the 3rd but technicaly it was the 4th at 2:30am. As i figured it out on mymonthlycycles.com my best days of ovulation would be the 14th-18th. I had sex before those dates and on those dates. Now it is the 20th and my hubby and i were having intercourse and this heavy white discharge came out of me while we were having sex. It wasnt from any orgams. We werent there yet! Was that me ovulating late??? What on earth is that???
