To give you an idea the average couple takes six months to get pregnant. Only 20% get pregnant on their first try. and there are really only 5 days a month in which you and your wife can create another life. So its amazing that so many people with in the baby lottery their first time. Making sure your wife knows her bodies signals will be key in helping you guys with the perfect timing. Good luck

It took us just over 9 months to get pregnant our first time. Then I had a miscarriage. Three months after that we were pregnant again. We spoke with our dr.'s before the first pregnancy and they said this is so typical for it to take up to and over a year. They would not see us (we were in our mid 20s at the time) due to our age until we had been actively trying for over a year. I think looking back on it we tried too hard, too much, we stressed about it, we timed it, we tested all that good stuff. I recall a nurse saying "just take a trip to a hotel, the mountains, a get away, drink some wine, relax, it will happen" I can't say that is the way our first was conceived. The second on the other hand was a vacation and alot of wine.
It's hard, but relax and if you think due to your age or if you have been trying for over 6 months or close to a year have your wife speak with her OB/GYN about what has been going on and see what they might suggest. Some Dr.'s will test for sperm count and that sort of stuff earlier than others.
Good Luck, relax, take a vacation and have some wine!

How long have you been trying for? Average is 4 months, but 1 year is still considered as a normal. If you have been trying for longer than a year, you should see a specialist - they can do couple of simple tests to see, if everything is fine with you. But don't be too stressed out about it - the more you are going to think about it, the smaller is your chance to conceive. Good luck!

I really hope you read my answer to this. Your boyfriend will most likely not be charged with statutory rape, but most likely something along the lines of sexual misconduct with a minor. It does not matter what the age is or if he is or is not of legal consent. Time and time again underage boys that have sex with underage girls get charged with sex crimes. It does not matter if you both are not of legal consent, he still can be charged. In addition, he will most likely have to serve prison time and register as a sex offender. In regards to getting an abortion, you are under age and thus can not make that decision. You would need parental consent in order for the abortion to take place. Therefore this is true.

Unfortunately not. You could go see the doc to make sure, all is okay for both of you. And then, relax!!!
I have friends who had found out that he had low sperm count, and told them to be patient...they tried so hard for years! When they finally relaxed and said, forget it, they got pregnant (they were married 8 years!). For me, with my first child, I got pregnant right away, the second one we planned, and it took almost a year to happen! I guess, a lot does have to do with the pressure you put yourself under, huh?
Good luck!

Well, THE AVERAGE couple it takes 9mnths- 1 yr. If you have been trying for at least 6mths, talk to your dr. Both of you should get tested just in case there is some kind of issue with either of you. Good luck!

I believe it is like 6 months to a year... Anyway, she should be speaking with her ob/gyn. The doctor can make sure she is healthy and no precautions should be made. He can also help with when the best time to conceive is, and answer any questions that you have!

Typically a specialist won't see you if it's been under one year.
6 mo is what I have read in conception articles

have her dl an ovulation calender and put in all of her information last period and such and it will calculate when she ovulates. then when she is in the green (ovulating) you should have lots of sex more than usual. that is usually the best bet. good luck
