Pregnancy - December 2007

I'm afraid of spiders, grasshopers, beetles and any thing with more legs than me that creeps around. Can I hurt my baby or cause a mc by screaming and freaking out on these things all the time? I'm in my first trimester.

Okay so I'm going to keep asking TONS of labor questions until it actually hits.. so those of you who constantly answer my questions, thanks and please just humor me.. lol. Okay, two days ago I started having diarrhea and it just stopped today.. My appitite has been way weird. At times I feel like eating everything in the house and others I feel like I never want to eat again. I sorta feel like right before you get your period.. just heavy and kinda gross. and achy.. As far as I can tell, I'm not having BH contractions. But I'm not really sure what they are, so idk. But anyway, all day today, all i've wanted to do is sleep. I feel like I'm resting up for something. Like I haven't slept in ages. While its true I don't get TONS of sleep at night, I get atleast 6-8 hours, so I don't know why I'm so tired. So I was wondering if it's my body "resting up" for labor. Does this mean labor is fast approaching? Do any of you have similar experiences?

Ok, so I started my monthly the end of November, and totally finished with it on Saturday, Dec. 1st. Sunday night I had intercourse with my Fiance and the condom broke. We didn't realize it right away, but did before he had orgasmed. He pulled out, put a new condom on and then we finished.

I shouldn't be ovulating, and it was only precum involved. I have a child now, so my cervix opening is larger due to that. Also, we got pregnant the very first time we ever had intercourse unprotected... so I'm guessing he has super sperm and I'm fertile myrtle!

Anybody know what the chances are of me being pregnant? I *KNOW* there's *ALWAYS* a chance, but does anyone know how MUCH of a chance? Is it unlikely, semi-possible, possible, really possible...? 10%, 20%, 50% ???

I am 20 and my boyfriend is also 20. We've been together for 3 years now. I'm a college student/server at a resturant. I took 2 pregnancy test that came back positive. How do i tell my boyfriend i'm pregnant? About a year ago i thought i was pregnanct and my boyfriend said if i was he wanted me to get an abortion because we weren't ready to have a baby. Well Now it's a year later and i am pregnant. I'm really nervous about telling him because i don't want to have an abortion, and i'm afraid he will want me to get one. What to do? Oh and i was on medicine that counteracted with my birth control, so thats how my pregnancy happened.

i think i hate men! guys why are you such aholes!? i just found out i am pregnant and when i broke the news to my man he dropped me like a hot potatoe and skipped town! if i see him on the street im going to beat his azz with a bat! i thought he was perfect, he was always there for me. i cant believe he did this to me! i'm in shock. ive been with him for five years. he even ask me to marry him? i dont understand what went wrong. i feel bitter, angry, i can't even look at a man without wanting to hurt him. my life is pretty much screwed. help! i need advice.

i used protection and the condom broke right after that i toook a piss and washed myself in the shower his spurm went inside my body i suppose is their a possibility i may not be pregnant (im old enough)

ok i was totallly high and didnt know what was going on.. my bf had asked me to marry him and i love him and do want to marry him but just dont want to say yes so easily.. i wanna give it some time.. so today we were reallly high n ended up having sex.. we were using a condom at times n at times he wasnt wearing it.. well the condom teared.. (and i think he poked a hole in it.. but im not sure b/c maybe knows i will say yes to marrying him right away if im preg... which i still think is cute cuz we've been together for 4 yrs now.. so ofcourse i will marry him..)
well this happened today .. which is day 14 of my cycle.. but the thing is since my cycle is 30 days long.. i should ovulate on day 16 no? is there a big chance of pregnancy here?

Ok. Well I've asked a few question a few weeks ago about c/sections as I might have had to have one. I tore BAD with ,my daughter and got stitched up HORRIBLY. Which in turn has left me with a very sore,tight, thick scare that goes 3/4 the way around my opening(sorry, I know) Any way I have decided NOT to have a c/section. My doctor said he would do an episiotomy (double one maybe, on both sides of my bottom hole). Once the baby is born I will go into theater and have it fix and stitched up PROPERLY this time. I have to have a spinal block for them to do this. My question is. Would you just go ahead and have the spinal block during labour? What are they like? I'm SO scared about having one, sticking a needle into my spine. YUCK. But in the end I'll have to have one any way. Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou

I am up early and up late - I'm running around for my business (I am a small business owner), and I constantly run errands. Tonight I even went to Costco for 4 cases of bottled water, five of those big a** poinsettas they sell there, two of their large wreaths, one large case of the vitamin water, and a big thing of oranges (not to mention about 25 "small" items) - all of which I picked up myself put on my cart, and then unloaded into my car. (someone was home to unload - thank God), but my husband TOTALLY chastized (sp?) me on my lifting b/c it could cause me to go into pre-term labor. I'm 40 and even though I'm in a high risk state, I'm not having a high risk pregnancy (I feel great except I have a raging case of carpal tunnel syndrome). The point is this: Am I pushing the envelope.

Opionions are great, but I would prefer to only hear from Professionals in the field and/or women who can truly provide sound recommendations. (remember every pregnancy is different).

did anyone else begin to have migraines with auras... symptoms very similar to a mini stoke or TIA when they got pregnant because of the change in hormones?? if so, what did you take to relieve the pain???

very scary situation, numbness in one arm... cant talk straight... seeing lights and things move in the corner of your eye..dizziness.. thank god it's just a migraine though. but yeah back to the question, what'd you do for pain? and how often did it happen to you?

Apologies in advance - kinda gross topic. You have had your warning!!

How long is the lochia supposed to last? I gave birth 7 weeks ago, there is still bright red blood albeit a very small amount (e.g. i am just wearing pantyliners). I thought it was normal until i looked online and read somewhere that bleeding is supposed to end after 2 weeks.

I have already had my 6 week check up but didnt mention it because i didnt think it was abnormal.

I'm 6 weeks now and have had no morning sickness at all, well maybe a little bit gaggy but that's it. Do some woman not get morning sickness at all. Does it go by how your mothers pregnancy went. I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky ones who doesn't get sick. Are you sick all day, is it after you throw up a couple times in the morning you feel better. I'm so clueless about this stuff.

This truly is for a friend, I am 32 weeks pregnant and do not need to know my chances of being pregnant lol.

A friend of mine, who is unfortunatly only 15 (that makes it hard for her to go to a doctor to talk with) had sex on Friday night, while on her period. They used a condom but it did break.

She is know freaking out because she knows how her family would react. Her 18 year old sister just had a baby 2 months ago and her older sister is now pregnant. Her mother is upset at them and they are older. She is terrified she could be pregnant.

So, what are her chances? Are they raised because she was on her period?

Hi I dont know whether this is normal or not during pregnancy
(am 11.5 wks pregnant) but I have got really bad shoulder/back pains.
Am not taking any pain killers or anything and it is probably because my already heavy ample chested self has enlarged even more so, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this also.

i am 18 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow. my question is basically "can you "lose" you baby and not know it?" and by that i mean can your baby die inside you and not know it? I think i am too far along to actually call it a miscarriage, but i have heard of people goin to the doctor and there not being a heartbeat. and they never knew anything! i am scared because i still have not felt any movement! I have no bleeding nor any cramping what so ever. please help calm my nerves thanks

I know that I have a history of low progesterone. Well, I am currently about 4 weeks pregnant...I tried to get in ASAP, but was not able to. This morning I started to spot a very tiny bit. Last Saturday I did get some pretty bad lower back pain (it was directly over my butt), but then that stopped. I just felt my cervix and I could put the very tip of my finger in it (at least that is what it felt like). And I have been having lower pain like right between my legs..

So, my question is, when is it too late in a pregnancy to start progesterone, where the progesterone won't help any longer?
