Not gonna lie it hurt. But compared to pushing a baby out your vagina with nothing to numb you, its nothing.

I have strange spacing in my spine so it took 9 tries and almost an hour to get the epidural needle in the right spot. I am pregnant again and want an epidural again so obviously it's worth it.

I was SO nervous about the epidural. It wasn't bad at all though. First they numb you with a small needle, then it just feels cold. The worst part of the epidural, was at the very end when they took it off, and had to pull the tape off my back (used to hold it in) . That hurt, but it was WELL WORTH IT!!!!!!!
Labor was a sinch with it! I'd never go without one! Worth every penny!
Good Luck!

my back was a little sore for a couple days after but that was it. The pain of the contractions is soooooo much worse, I didn't even notice the epidural being done at all.

Usually you hurt so bad at that point that you don't feel the little pinch of the needle.
