Pregnancy - April 2007

I was told today from my AFP results were abnormal, I have a 1/55 chance of having a child with a neural tube defect. I was immediately scheduled for a level 2 ultrasound, and my physician said from the u/s everything looks good. He told me that I had the option of taking the amnio test to ensure everything was definitely okay. I'm not sure if I want to go through with this, seeing that the u/s was fine. The chances of miscarriages from the amnio test worries me. I don't want to put me or my baby through anymore stress. Should I go through with it? Thanks in advanced!

He has measured large for my past 2 doctors appointments. When I was born I weighed 8 lbs 6 oz. I am a small girl. I'm 5'1 and when I'm not pregnant weigh about 125. Does this sound like my baby will be big? Has anyone had this happen?

Hi everyone! I'am thrilled to announce that I'am expecting a Baby GIRL!!!! =)
I'am extremely happy as I have a 7yr old son!
Now I need help with names! I think I've seen every name out there and nothing seems to be 'jumping' out at me.
I like names that arent popular but not too wierd.My son's name is Dawson.Now its finding a name that both hubby and I agree on.He likes Rayden and I dont. I kinda like Greenlee but not sold totally.The name I really liked was Trinity however I just found out that, that is the name my sister picked for her baby girl due any day now.So now Im left searching! lol

I am trying to make our registry ans "shopping list" for baby normal and resonable. I dont need to go competely bare, I've got some money to get a few un-necessary things, you know... but what ones do i pick out of the gear? Bouncers, swings, the swing glider (more relaxing)??? Do people usually get all of them or just pick one of those things? Because how would you pick which one your baby would prefer, you just cant. Also... how about cribs, did you all get use out of buying a seperate co-sleeper (the arms reach one) or bassinet and then a portable crib like a pack n' play. (thats like 3 "soothers" and 3 sleeping pieces, too much!!!)

So here's the deal. I had unprotected sex on more than one occasion about 2 1/2-3 weeks ago. About a week after, I had a 'period', or at least I think it was. What was weird is that it was about a week early and it only lasted like 3 days, and I spotted for another day or two. It was different from my usual periods. In about the last 4 days, I've been having what seem to be menstrual cramps, as well as a lot of nausea. My appetite was pretty much non existent for two days, with the exception of salt and vinegar chips, which I usually do not like. But I ate a whole can of them this day! I feel sick about 90% of the time, and usually more so about an hour after I get up, or right after I eat. I've also been kind of constipated and find myself tired a lot lately. I thought I was pregnant about a month ago, and it was nothing, so I don't want to just be thinking again. What does this sound like to some of you ladies with children or expecting?

i love her and want to spend the rest of our lives together. the problem: she is into some nutty eastern deepak chopra thing and is vegetarian.this is fine by me, i can accept it. she will not or cannot accept that i am not into that.i am willing to stop eating meat, provided my body chemistry will support a vegetarian diet. the hindu thing though- not for me.she wont consider abortion, and i dont want that either.but if she refuses to accept our differences and just wants me to pay for her to raise the child absolutely as she sees fit, then i dont want to be involved at all,financially or emotionally.

I have my friend she's 21 years and she is 6 weeks pregnant , she dont know how to come to her parents to tell them. she want to keep the baby and her boyfriend want her to keep the baby too. the main problem is her parents and what other people will think about her. she is so worried about that. can y'all give me some advice .
