Trisomy 16 is very rare. And its not genetic, its basically a roll of the dice... so your chances of losing another baby/babies to it again is VERY rare.

I'm so sorry for your loss :(

This is something that happens alot and is the cause of many miscarriages. It is a chromosomal abnormality and it will probably not occur again. It is just like trisomy 21 (Downs syndrome) where it doesn't run in families or anything like that, and is just a fluke. It happens more with women who are above the age of 35, but can happen to any woman. Good luck.

Have you had genetic counseling? Chromosomal problems are often genetic, but even if they are not all of your eggs would be affected. It should be absolutely possible for you to deliver a healthy baby unless a doctor has told you otherwise...and even then, God can do anything!
