So here's the deal. I had unprotected sex on more than one occasion about 2 1/2-3 weeks ago. About a week after, I had a 'period', or at least I think it was. What was weird is that it was about a week early and it only lasted like 3 days, and I spotted for another day or two. It was different from my usual periods. In about the last 4 days, I've been having what seem to be menstrual cramps, as well as a lot of nausea. My appetite was pretty much non existent for two days, with the exception of salt and vinegar chips, which I usually do not like. But I ate a whole can of them this day! I feel sick about 90% of the time, and usually more so about an hour after I get up, or right after I eat. I've also been kind of constipated and find myself tired a lot lately. I thought I was pregnant about a month ago, and it was nothing, so I don't want to just be thinking again. What does this sound like to some of you ladies with children or expecting?

How long should I wait to take a test? I would only be about 2 1/2 or 3 weeks along if I am pregnant...

Well I do know that it is possible to still get a period when you are pregnant, but I also know that your brain is your body's temple. It is possible that if you want to be pregnant bad enough and convince yourself that you are your brain can convince yourself that you are. As a result you begin experiencing symptoms of pregnancy even though you aren't. Ever heard the saying "mind over matter?"

These are definitely signs of pregnancy... check when the last date of the 1st day of your normal period was... before you had sex. If it was 14-18 days before you had sex then yes, you can be pregnant. Your 3 day period that was early could have also been your period, in that case, you couldn't be pregnant. Take a pregnancy test just to be sure. KJ

You are likely be pregnant now....just for for doctor to do a check. All your symptoms were just exactly what my wife experienced with our first kid. She never had any complaints except not a very perfect period timing and suddenly, within the few week following that "normal cycles" all the symptoms you had mentioned just creep in and the doctors confirmed she was pregnant then.

Those sound like pregnancy symptoms...but, every female has had things like that before. You really just need to get a pregnancy test. They make them so much better now days....it can detect the pregnancy hormone much faster than it used too...

Because of the situation you present and the symptoms you are currently displaying... I think it's probably worth the 10 dollars for the EPT kit !!! Find out for sure !

Most dollar stores sell pregnancy tests, and they work. (this is how I got around not feeling bad taking a pregnancy test every month)

This was how I felt when I was first pregnant. Better to just take a test and put your mind at ease.
