Pregnancy - March 2007

Hello! A friend of mine is pregnant and increasing in size but she is having trouble finding trousers that fit because she is only 5'11". Most maternity wear seems to be designed for taller ladies and at the moment she's making do with shortening everything or wearing normal trousers with the fastening undone. Does anyone know of a UK based clothing retailer who sells maternity wear for short ladies? Would be very grateful!

im having abdominal cramping i dont think its labor or contractions because its in my abdomen but i just need to know the babies ok did anyone else expierience this just like bad stomach cramps were you and the baby alright? do you know why you were expieriencing these?

My sister (18) has just told me she is pregnant, about 2months, has done home test, and they went to the doctors yesterday to have it confirmed.

Her partner is 19, and they were planning on going to university, and my sister still has 1 year at college left.

I've had 3 miscarriages, and an eptopic pregnancy, so I’ve automatically said - yes you must keep it.. But I don't want to give her the wrong advice, just based on my own experiences of pregnancies.

They are 50/50 about what to do; both sets of parents will not be happy about the pregnancy but will support them.

Its likely that my mum will say for her to have a termination, as she was never happy about me getting parent as a teenager..

What advice could I give to her... I’ve currently said for her and her partner to talk about it amongst themselves. And they have asked me to tell my mum when she comes up to the Midlands to visit soon...

I hear so much about wierd cravings that women get when pregnant and I want to know what your wierd craving was. Mine sounds really gross to me now but at the time was good lol Pickles and Cottage Cheese.

I have 5 kids and my dude acts like a kid at times to and we get into to all the time I tried I fightin with him. I don't get it every time I am fighting him every time he rapes me, And he tells me because I want have sex with him that's the reason why he takes it. We just got into a 2am, and I'm tried I think the last time he raped me was monday and he tried yesterday but I was too sick. But he has never raped me around my kids. And we don't argue around my kids. He's not the father of any of my kids but this one I'm pregnant.

I got my period on sun and yesturday (tuesday) it was gone. My breasts hurt, im reallly really tired, and not really hungry and oh did i say tired, my stomach also hurts and ive been feelin kinda weak and dizzy could i be pregnant? I also started having some spotting today just enough to notice when i wipe and i ate and got really bad diarrhea and stomach pains, and i have a headache im feeling better now just weak and tired and kinda dizzy.

I have been getting cramps on a daily basis.. it is really scaring me... and also i have been getting these weird pains at the same time everynight exactly where the baby is!! what does this mean? i am young and no nothing, i get scared of all these pains... i am having trouble eating and am scared it is effecting the baby.. i just get nautious when i smell food... is that normal??I dont Puke in the morning ,,, but i do get dry heves... then comtinue feeling sick throughout the day... i dont know what to do!!!

My cat has stomatitis, an autoimmune disorder that is NOT contagious.
Since I have administered antibiotics to other cats in the past -- without any problems -- I tried to give my cat her first dose of antibiotics. Unfortunately, she got totally hysterical and scratched my arms up pretty badly.
Now I am worried...

But not about toxoplasmosis. I have lived with cats most of my life, and I should be immune to toxoplasmosis. Being pregnant, I know not to get anywhere near her litter box -- just in case!

I am much more worried about cat scratch disease. What would be the signs, if my cat is carrying it? What would happen to a pregnant woman if she got it? Worse than for a non-pregnant person?

Note that my cat is 100% an indoor cat (if it makes any difference).
