Hello! A friend of mine is pregnant and increasing in size but she is having trouble finding trousers that fit because she is only 5'11". Most maternity wear seems to be designed for taller ladies and at the moment she's making do with shortening everything or wearing normal trousers with the fastening undone. Does anyone know of a UK based clothing retailer who sells maternity wear for short ladies? Would be very grateful!

wow i wish i could help I'm 6'1" and what you need to tell her is at least she is short and can hem her clothes if she was tall it would be a lot harder ,trust, but the best bet is the Internet i have found most of my clothing this way.... i feel her pain in a different way but tell her to keep her head up and do not get discouraged it is not worth the headache...

I'm quite short too, and I also had trouble buying maternity wear in normal shops.

www.laredoute.com is good, but make sure she doesn't buy a size bigger than usual, if she is a size 8, buy size 8 maternity wear!

"Kiabi" is excellent too, they have maternity wear which caters for all shapes and sizes and it's really pretty and fashionable.

I agree with one of the other answerers, Dorothy Perkins do have some good clothes and they are OK length for me.

(I'm 1m 52 cms, I don't know in feet!)

:-) Hope she finds something!

I take it you mean 5 foot 1 inch - not eleven?

Dorothy Perkins do a petite range and a maternity range, there is an outside chance that they might to a blend of the two.

Im assuming you mean 5 foot 1. Cause 5'11 is tall for a woman lol

Im 5 foot 1, mom of 2 and baby on the way. I m pretty top heavy, I just dont like how alot of the maternity tops bind around them, like i need to draw attention to them, I have to remind men "my eyes are up here" lol

So,.................. I shop at Catherines..... Its for Plus size women, so they have sizes to fit all the way to birth lol. My 15 yr old son calls it the chubby store lol. They do have alot for short women. And i hate those gross stretch panels in maternity pants.

Next do maternity in a range of lengths. Their maternity range is really good - I have been wearing it throughout my pregnancy.

I guess you mean 5'1..?
Arcadia Group do materity wear in a petite range; Dorothy Perkins, Topshop.. if you did mean 5'11 they both do a tall range as well..

Perhaps have a look in New Look as well...
