Pregnancy - January 2007

I was wondering, in the US does everyone have to have some sort of insurance for healthcare for if you fall ill or need medical treatment? If so, what happens if you have no money, ie welfare.
I just wondered as I read a question saying it will cost approx $2500 to have a baby and that is with the the insurance policy covering 80% of it! It makes me angry when people here in the UK criticise our NHS system when we are very lucky to have it.

I have extreme back pain... Is there anything I can do to ease the pain?? I think I'm pregnant and I'm in so much pain everyday... I get this feeling of emptiness in my stomache and I am constantly eating... Nausea is another thing and being very sleepy at times is another... Please help!!!!

im 20 weeks pregnant and absolutely cannot sleep. Earlier in the pregnancy the doctor was letting me take sominex but now that im farther along he advised me to no longer take it. I have tried everything but it seems like I sleep an average of 3 hours a night. What can i possibly do? I know it cant be healthy for me or the baby that i'm not getting adequate rest. I have a dr. appt tomorrow and I will ask him again what i can do. Have you had this problem? what did u do?

i have been late on my period for about 2 months now, and i have taken 2 pregnancy test and they all come back negative. I have been extremely tired and have not been feeling well at all. I tend to get pain in my back and lower abdomin every once in a while, kind of like mentrual cramps. I havent had any bleeding at all so could i still be pregnant even tho i keep getting negative results? i had regular periods before that.I feel miserable and often nauseas. I dont know whats going on. HELP!

I am having weird pains in my lower abdominal area around my ovaries... And Ive been off my birthcontrol for 4 to 5 months .. i mean ive had stomach pains before but nothing like these.. and last month on my period i stopped half way in it... like completely stopped... And i havent started one yet .... What is the sensation in your legs and back once you get it? Is it COMPLETELY numb or just enough to ease most of the pain? Also with and episiotomy,...does the epidural help any if you need to get an episiotomy done?? curious about all this stuff.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant.. And my baby is huge for my built
(I'm quite petite (5"2) and im still a size 28)
I'm exhausted 24/7 dont sleep much have alot of dizzy spells, sciatic nerve problem, restless leg, cramping in the leg - but baby is healthy moves alot..Thank god 4 tht!

my bf and i had unprotected sex 9 days after my menstruation started and i took the ECP's 12 hrs after...exactly 10 days after taking the ECP, i began bleeding for a day...it wasn't heavy bleeding but everytime i peed blood would flow...i am expecting my menstruation to start today, but it did not...is this a sign that i am pregnant or what?

Hi I am wondering if you have a c-section.. if there is any exercises I can do to get rid of that baby fat roll!!! I've heard crunches and stuff would not help because the muscles were cut!
