Can anyone tell me when you open (break open) a first response preg. test there is a small round pill looking item at the end. What does this do?

first month trying to conceive, i am 24 my hubby is 26. i wasnt feeling up to work today so i called out. something told me to go take a test today. i went and bought a first responce early preg test. it was my second "pee" this morning but i havent drank anything yet. so i pee'd and low and behold 5 seconds later i saw a faint line, and after 3 min it is dark as can be. i just made an appt with my dr for today... what happens now?

Or just call to make my first prenatal appt. This will be my 3rd child so its not all new to me but both of my previous pregnancies were handled differntly seeing that I was in different points in my life. Just wanted to get others opinions.....

I will be 12 weeks tomorrow. On Saturday I woke up went to the bathroom and wiped , there was pink on the paper and in the toilet. During the course of the day, everytime I went to the bathroom, wiped and it was brown. Haven't had it happen since 10 pm that night, called my doctor and spoke to the nurse and she said it was nothing to worry about. I have 2 other children and never experienced that before.

my midwife says to keep having sex all through my pregnancy, as its good for when the baby is due.. how is it "helpful"? Im actually very uncomfortable to do it now, so am choosing not to, and my husband completely understands, but my midwife keeps persisting us to, no matter what.. please help..

2 days late!! I am extremely tired and i get nauseas occasionally!! I been peeing alot, my period was due sunday, I took a pregnancy test thursday, it was negative!! I am nervous about taking another one, What do you guys think?? Now like a couple days last week, I had a cramp here and there thought Af was coming! Nothing since then!!And I keep having weird dreams! Three days after O, I had a creamy watery discharge? Do you think I could be pregnant, or just having a late period??????

I am 37 wks tomorrow. I'm scheduled for a c-section on Feb. 13th. Problem is my husband deploys for Iraq on Feb. 7th. I would really like for him to see his son before he leaves. My doctor keeps telling me that if I go into labor on my own they will go ahead and deliver the baby. But if I don't, I have to wait until the 13th. If I could just get my labor started....but how?? We tried having intercourse, oral stimulation and I had contractions for about an hour to an hour and a half but then it stopped. Does anyone have so suggestions for me? Thanks!

I am 39 weeks and my doctor doesn't think I'll be preggers much longer. But I am soooo miserable I can barely move. I have other health problems so I expected to be achey, but this is awful. Everyday I've been having painful contractions but then they stop. What can I do to induce myself? I want him out like yesturday!!

I am 36 weeks and in a lot of pain. I feel like someone has kicked me in the groin and my hips and lower back keep cramping. I am also feeling a lot of cramping and pressure in my lower abdomen. I have called my doctor and she keeps saying it is probably just ligaments stretching but I am on my third pregnancy and have never experienced anything like this. Does anyone have any info or have you experienced anything similar?

Hi everyone. I am 23 weeks pregnant. Healthy and fit. I have only gained about 5 lbs, so it is not the excess weight, but I seem too be out of breath a lot. Mostly at night when I am trying to relax. Last night in bed, laying on my left side, I just could not seem to catch my breath. I have a Dr. appointment in the morning, so I will ask then, but for now, is this normal?

just found out this morning i'm pregnant! What are the next steps to take? I made an appointment with my Dr. for next week. But is their anything new I should start? Im almost 17 weeks preg with 3rd child but dont seem to feel pregnant it seems very different to my last and i can still fit into my clothes Everyday i can feel a little movement so i know the babys fine. My mate is 12 weeks and is showing and this is her first pregnancy. I should be gladed in a way i suppose. Anyone else showing at almost 17 weeks.

I am 9 weeks pregnant I have thread worm I have spoke to the doctor today they say it will not affect my baby in any way. so i am relived on that matter but has anyone experienced this during pregnancy and did they take anything for it or did it just go away? I am 30 wks pregnant with my third child, and according to my doctor, it's another boy. He gave me a 70/30 % boy. I'd have to admit, we did want a girl this time. Hubby and I are both now set on the fact that "he" is a boy. However, throughout my pregnancy I have been having dreams that "he" is a girl. Including one last night. I was just kind of curious if anybody had any input on what this could mean, or if it's just me subconciously wanting a girl?

My baby has centered herself in my abdomen, and I can tell she is running our of room. She still moves a lot, but her movements are slower and seem to be harder, like she is pushing for room. My back pain has also increased. Could this mean she is getting ready, or is she just running out of room? I am 35+ weeks and have had PTL, and I am already 80% effaced and 2 cm dilated. I am also having BH contractions that are irregular, sometimes they wake me up at night.

I know it's silly to try to predict when she is coming, but I just can't help it! Every new symptom makes me wonder...

im over a week late and done three hpt tests all of which say negative, i feel as though my period is due but still no bleeding. i feel moody and tired but is this just my period. my partner and i cant cope with the suspense what shall we do next?
