A LOT of times sex can cause that. And if you didnt have sex before you noticed it, it is sometimes just a perk of pregnancy! If it hasn't happened again I wouldn't worry about it. Its when its BRIGHT red when you need to worry and go straight to the doctor's office. If it does happen again (without sex) I would check with the doctor. Just keep track of when it happens, how long it lasts, and if you had sex previously so you'll be prepared to inform your doctor on exactly whats going on. GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS!

I had the same thing happen to me on Saturday and I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. Although it can be a sign of miscarriage it is still possible to be quite normal. The brown blood means that it is old. I too needed some reassurance(have had two previous miscarriages) so I called my aunt who has 5 children. She said she had a period for 6months with one and with two others had pink/brown spotting for several months. If you are still worried and the doctor won't make an appointment for you, you can always go to the ER. As soon as you walk in and tell them you are pregnant they will do an internal exam and an ultrasound to make sure things are ok.

I have 2 children and have seen similar things. You may have overdone it a little and caused a blood vessel to break. Even coughing and sneezing can do it. The fact that you saw pink and then brown is a good sign. Brown is old blood. Bright red, and lots of it should make you concerned. Pink is ok. I had the same issue when I did too much yard work when I was 7 weeks. You should be fine...just take it easy and you did the right thing by calling your doctor just for your own peace of mind.

Just watch it. Have you had an u/s to make sure your cervix it thick enough? Or hasn't thinned out. But I don' tknow if that would cause bleeding.
To bring hope a friend of mine bleed for 2 weeks and even passed clots. Turns out it was a cyst that ruptured and the baby is fine. So there is always hope.
I'm 11 weeks. I've also heard that this is the time that something new is going on with the placenta. So it could be a result of that.
Intercourse can cause you to spot too. We have about 4 extra litters of blood running through our veins right now... so it doesn't take much for us to bleed.

I have been through this many times. It can be a sign of a problem. I think that if it has stopped, you should be ok. If it continues or happens again then you should see your doctor. Not to alarm you but I miscarried and this was a symptom. I also had it on a later pregnancy and it happened once and then not again. The pregnancy was fine. To put your mind at ease see you doctor. Good luck and god Bless!

yes i have experienced this. It happened to me at 7,10, and 14 weeks. My dr told me that the brown meant old blood which was better than bright red and to just watch for any other symptoms. Well I am now 34 weeks pregnant so everything turned out fine thankfully! Im sure you are fine...spotting can be very normal for some women. BEst of luck!

I had this happened when I was preg. I also called the dr and they said that it should be ok as long as you don't continue bleeding or unless the blood is much that goes through your clothes. If you called and the nurse said ok don't worry about it. Especially since it went away. I hope evrtyhing is good w/ you and your baby.

Yes, I had spotting with my second baby and it totally freaked me out. My doctor said there was nothing to worry about unless it continued or got heavier. It went away and everything was fine. You'll feel better when you go for your next appointment and hear the heartbeat, though. Hang in there!

Yes, with my third child. There was an indication of light color blood. I called a friend who took took charge and made me lay down on the back seat of her car and drove me to the hospital. I remained there for one week flat on my back. I was not allowed to get up for anything. I had a room-mate at the hospital with the same problem. We both delivered healthy children.
Just stay off your feet, on your own, for a week if you can. There is more activity with the 3rd than with the first, as there are more demands on you.

I've had 5 kids (including a set of twins) and yes, this has happened to me, too. Nothing came of it. Dr. told me it's because the cervix is engorged with blood & almost anything can "irritate" and cause spot bleeding (this includes sex). Don't worry! You'll be okay!
