If the only way a woman could get an abortion was if she was raped, how often do you think men would be falsly accused and/or imprisioned?

so right before thanksgiving i found out i am pregnant. i am a senior in college, 22 years old. i feel as though the decision to keep the baby or not is intense, and though i am not looking for an answer, i am in search of advice (IF YOU HAVE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE- i do not need opinions, but thanks anyway) if i do terminate, i am unsure about psychological effects, but on the other hand, i need to consider the wellness of the potential child. The problem comes with the fact that i keep thinking to myself, i can do anything if i want to and i should not feel like i have to choose between a career and having a child...but i sway back to, will it be best for the child if i have it? adoption is not an option, my parents are aware and supportive either way, the "father" is amazing and we dated for almost 3 years and also we remain friends, however i am trying not to factor him in. womenly advice would be awesome....

ON THE AVERAGE, (I realize it's different for everyone).

I just found out that I'm preggers and I'm trying to get an estimate on how far along I am. I've had MAYBE 5 mestrual cycles since my 17-month-old daughter was born so I really can't go by that. I realize I'll find out eventually when I get to the doctor but I'm trying to get an idea now.

I've been really tired for 1-2 weeks and just yesturday I've started using the bathroom A LOT.

Hi People,
I've only been married for 2 weeks and my wife maybe pregnant. She has been on the pill 2 months before we got married and she has been taking the pill as she should be and her periods have been on time etc up until now. I did not use a condom the very first time we had sex and it was very uncomfortable for her as this was her first time so we did not have sex for about 4 days as it was very painful for her. during those 4 days, my wife forgot to take the pill so i've been using a condom since then but now it has been 2 days since she has missed her period. this is quite a worry as we both would love to be parents but this is just too early than we ever expected. what are the chances that she is pregnant? can you tell in the 2 weeks? are there any other factors which would delay a period? i know the best thing to do is to buy a prenancy test kit but she doesn't want to know whether or not she is pregnant.

In ancient times, abnormalities were seen as warnings or punishments from the gods. Even quite recently, it was believed that specific events during the pregnancy - such as being frightened by a mouse - would lead to specific defects in the baby, eg a mouse shaped birth mark. Such folk beliefs still persist in places. However, most defects that can be traced to a single cause have a genetic origin. This does not necessarily mean that the parents suffer from the same defect. It may be that they are carriers of the condition, or that the genetic problem occurred for the first time in the cells that gave rise to the baby. Known genetic causes account for about 25 per cent of all abnormalities.

What causes the other 75% of birth defects?
How can the 25% (by genetic causes) be prevented?
What part does 'cousin' marriages play in this?

Assuming the parents are exhaustively well-read on the subject. They seem oddly basic.

Are there any other sorts of classes I should look into? Or avoid? I mean of a particular type, of course, not "the one at the (Your Town) community centre" -- I just want an idea of what to search for...

First, I have PCOS (poly-cystic ovaries syndrome). Because of this, my hormones are usually very imbalanced and my periods are awkward. However its been 4, almost 5 months since my last period and I'm never this late, not even close.

I am experiencing most of the classical symptoms as well, food craving, frequent thirst and urination, sickness, major mood swings, massive weight gain (gained about 45 lbs in 4 months), etc

I took 1 home pregnancy test 2 weeks after my first missed period. It came out negative. I tried again about 3 weeks after that, same thing. I then decided to go to a clinic and did the other type of urine test there about a month after my 2nd failed home pregnancy test, however the result also came in negative.

I want to know if there is a chance all the tests were wrong and I am in fact pregnant because I'm experiencing several symptoms and although my hormone has been out of whacked, its never been this late and obviously I've never gained that much weight. HELP!

My last period was on October 17th. I was sexually active with the withdraw method from 4th-25th of Nov. I still haven't gotten my period and I'm usually on a regular, irregular schedule if that makes any sense (going around the normal 28 days, then the next month much longer, then repeating), but I don't think I've gone this long before. Today I had a tiny bit light brown spotting and a bit of cramping. I was expecting to start my period but it didn't happen. I've taken two pregnancy tests and both were negative. I've had some symptoms (feeling sick but not throwing up, faint, fatigue, bloating, constipation, stomach pains) but these could be from other issues. I have been under a little stress also, and just moved. So my question is, could this spotting be implantion bleeding and could I have conceived this late into my cycle? Could I have conceived earlier and it's just not (+) yet? Is 7 weeks normal to go w/o a period? Thanks so much, I'm just starting to worry a bit!
