Pregnancy - October 2006

went to the doc. the other day and was told that I was soft, up close and thinning out, but no dilation yet. He said that I am ready to go all I need to do is dilate and get started. Well I have been walking and have been having sex and cleaning..lol. I have contractions everyday about 30 min apart and not that bad either. However, today I have felt like I have more discharge, no blood or anything bu it is wetting my underware and my walls to my vagina feel really sore and lots of pressure, also like there is a bowling ball down there. I am still having the contractions, nothing that bad but I cant hardly walk because its so sore down there. He is already in position and his head is already down there so I know that dilation is all thats left. Does this sound like I am dilating to you? Does it sound like it will be much longer? I have an appointment tomorrow but I was just wondering till then if anyone felt like this before they went into labor. Thanks for all your help!

My husband and I have just found out the news that I am pregnant - I am only 4 weeks along so it is very early. How long should I wait before telling my employer? We've decided to tell our parents this weekend but I don't think I should leave it too long before telling my employer because they might find out through someone else if word gets around... any thoughts?

I am 17 weeks pregnant with my first child...my baby's dad and I are not together and I am really upset...just like down in the dumps...anyway to make me feel better..I am starting to feel like I am going to have an anxiety attack...maybe any suggestions to help get my mind off of whatever seems to be bothering me lol..Its a combination of things...more than say 3 things bothering me...any suggestions?

I recently found out I was pregnant. I believe i may have had a miscarriage, I started heavy bleeding, and what looked like blood clots came out (it was very discusting) and it wasnt like having a period, but I did get what were like cramps and back pain, I also got a small fever and was throwing up, this all lasted for about 2 or three hours, that happened a couple days ago, everyone I have told says they think I had a miscarriage and thats what I think also, I have an appt to see my OBGYN but I was curious as to what they are going to do to see if I had a miscarriage, and if there is any chance that I didnt miscarry and I may just have some sort of conditon, and if so what condition would it be. This is my first time being pregnant and im very scared and will be heart broken if I miscarried please help! (I probably sound dumb because i dont know any of this but like i said this is my first time)

Okay, I graduated college in may and have been looking for a job since March with no good prospects. I have an interview tomorrow for a good job in my field. The catch is, I am 12 weeks pregnant. I am not showing, and have about 4-5 weeks or so before I do, based upon how big the baby is and my body size. The position is a 6 month contract to hire position, where I work for the staffing company for 6 months, and if the employer likes my performance, they hire me... I really want and need this job, the money is so much better than what I am making at the part time job i have now...but I fell bad about not telling them I am pregnant until after I am hired...but I'm worried if I tell them, they won't hire me....does anyone have experience with this, or any thoughts...

The doctor said that's what I am but tonight I was having some pretty uncomfortable contractions. I have been walking 1 mile a day. I am 36 weeks. Does anyone know how much longer I have or can share past experiences?

Why do people insist of having an invitation that states where the mother and baby are registered. Then, they disreguard it and go buy what THEY want you to have. What is the point? My baby shower is Saturday and I dont think I have anything that is on it yet....concerned

All normal or cause for concern? I'm in my first trimester. I've had a couple miscarriages in the past, none of my pregnancies lasted this long, so i'm really ignorant as to what's going on with my body. I've read alot and done alot of research but the book explainations and how real women explain things are much different. I identify more so with normal, down to earth women like myself. Books and Doctors can scare you sometimes! Please just bear with my ignorance & enlighten me, thank you so much.

I am due to have the baby november 28th. We just had a leak in the kitchen and are in the process of redoing it, I need to move my 2 year old up stairs (new room needs paint and a new rug), I have to repaint the babies room, and I still have to get all of the babies stuff into order (clothes, blankets, etc). Any advise in helping the baby to stay inside longer than the due date? I just want to be able to relax with my new baby and my other two children. Therefore, I have a lot to get done in a month.

Had unprotected 2weeks and 1 day ago on my most fertile day....
the past week i have been rapidly experiencing these symtoms
*Nausated
*Very tender breasts and the nipples are very dark pink/red(blue veins are really prominent over my breasts and nipples)
*Increased saliva (could fill a glass with it all)
*Lower backpain
*Lower adominal cramps had for about 9 days
*Headache (never seems to go full blown it just lingers)
*My tummy feels really heavy today
*Emotional over stupid "i.e who did not win x-factor"
*Clumsy and forgetfullness
*Palpatations (like a fluttering or my heart skips a beat and can sometimes feel it go to my stomach)
*Itchy tingly feet especially when i get into bed.

My period is due on Friday and the only sign i ever have for that is cramps about a day before i am about to start, and slight sore breasts but the blue veins are new to me, could it be pregnancy or my period i know it is very similar but just wonderd if anyone had these signs so early on??

Last week I had a positive result on a home pregnancy test, now today i took one in the afternoon and got a negative. Which one should I go by?
And just a question...can a test turn positive after 10 minutes and be correct for you?

my friend last had her injection in may and was due her injection in august but hasnt had it. she decided to come off it because she was very depressed and put on weight. basically 2 questions
1. she had sex with bf since august. unprotected sex at that. what is the chance she pregnant?
2. how long til she get a period?

note she been feeling and been sick nearlly everyday and has stomach cramps and backache for 4 weeks...

all i have felt is like hard pains in my stomack..it feels like someone gonna punch or kick there way through my tummy not often enough to bother me..

i always thought is was too early for kick like that..

and when are you supposed to feel the baby kick??
and does everyone feel flutters??

My fiancee and I are trying to have a second child together. I was previously on Ortho Evra for 2 years. I stopped taking it on Sept. 3. My last period was Sept. 6 and was completely normal. I should have started on Oct. 4, but haven't had anything yet. I am extrememly moody, crampy, tired, etc. I have taken two pregnancy tests, but both are negative.

I dont know if this is anything to worry about, but I just wanted to check with some other women to make sure, just in case if it was I could make an appt. as soon as possible. Im not pregnant either, just didnt know what category to place this under.

I am 19 and my right breast has been itching today. I dont think its the fabric from my bra because I have worn this same bra before, and I use the same detergent and etc....

Is this something to be worried about or it is pretty normal???

so im 13 and my boyfriend and i are starting to get serious. we've known each other for a while and we're really close...he's like my best friend. we have been talking about it, assessed all of the factors and talked about our fears, he is scared that afterwards [it is both of our first times] i am going to leave, b/c i know 'how' and that is my fear for him. i'm also scared of the glove breaking and getting pregnant....i do NOT want to get pregnant. i need advice from an adult or someone who has gone through this, b/c my friends now don't know how to help me and i am not close with my mom...PLEASE.
